Barb Ling here and I will never forget my father's estate sale.
Among his many qualities, he was an enthusiastic Thomas Edison memorabilia collector.
I mean we're talking I grew up with 17 antique phonographs (the big huge jobbers)...
... and heard the Edison Laughing records when I was just in my single digits.
Well, zoom forward to after he passed away and his estate sale...
... My siblings and I literally could not *give away* those records.
100s of quarter inch thick records (the ones that during the Depression... they were burned for fuel)...
... 100s of wax cylinders...
We called the Edison Museums (they wanted us to pay them to take them)
Antique Phonograph associations (same)
And it was astonishing.
Nobody whatsoever wanted them at all. :(

It's from a marketing legend's friend (who is running this estate sale to bring in funds for the estate).
He recently passed away from a rather horrible disease (that took my mom as well).
But his digital assets are now being offering in an estate firesale....

Apparently the estate of an individual (who passed away from cancer - my gosh, I *hate* that disease... lost my mom to it)...
