New Article - Want to win a Grammy? Be an Indie Artist (Here's How) Sent Sunday, February 22, 2009
After working for some of the largest Record Labels in the world...

I can honestly say that... I hate traditional record labels....
(one reason is because they RIP most of their artist off, especially
people like you who may be new to them)

So anyway, with that said, when I just came across this article in
Pre Fix Mag, I had to share it with you to give you some
encouragement.

It reads...

Indies Win More Than Half of 2009 Grammys

Sunday's Grammys provided more than just a place for blink-182 to
kick off their reunion: they also marked a triumph for independent
musicians and labels. Of the 110 statuettes distributed, 56 -- a
little over half -- were awarded to indie musicians, compared to
last year's 36. Top awards went to Alison Krauss and Robert Plant
(Best Album and Best Record) and Chick Corea (Jazz Instrumental).

Although, short this article proves how important it is for you
to be an independent artist right now...

But just being an indie artist is not enough, you need the proper
music industry contacts and the #1 place that you can get contacts
of all types is http://www.theindustryyellowpages.com/index.23.html

On that site you'll find a cool music industry "Phone Book" that will
give you over 20,000 music industry contacts, including contacts at
