Hey People,
Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably heard of
the new social media site everyone is yammering about: Twitter.
Last week, they pulled off a brilliant publicity coup with Ashton
Kuchter and CNN, seeing who could get to one million followers
first.

When I first heard about Twitter I thought it was a great way to
waste even more time, and after studying it for the past few months
I am more convinced of that than ever.
However, like anything else it is a tool, and as such, it has some
powerful application, things that aren't obvious at first.
One of the more interesting things about Twitter is that it can be used
as a great networking and marketing tool to get exposure for your music.
It happens in real time, and when someone says something you want to
respond to, you have a limited time to think of the answer.
Don't get me wrong--Twitter is no substitute for real life networking,
but if used properly, it can help you to build a network of loyal
fans as well as music industry contacts, very, very quickly.
On with the fun...
