Aloha ,
I hope your Father's Day weekend was a good one! Now it's back to the daily grind and I have a few coaching tips for you. But first, I just want to give you the heads up that Marc Dagenais over at SoftballPerformance.com is doing one of his crazy sales again where you get a lot of great softball stuff, 10 of his top selling DVDs to be exact, for one great price.
Learn more at...
1. Plan
This will make you more efficient and able to get more done in less time
2. Learn to Effectively Use the Internet and E-mail
You can get information to more people quicker AND learn a lot (see #4)
3. Believe in Your Athletes, They Believe in You
4. Steal Ideas from Other Sports (and improve on them)
I just heard Cindy Bristow talking about how much she was learning from a Golf coaching book (and I learned this by practicing #2 in this list)
5. Coach the person, not the performance
Yes, this means that you have to get to know your players, but remember there is a difference between coaching the person and catering to them.
Think for just a bit about each one of these tips and figure out how you can apply them to become a better coach. I'll be back with more next week. :)
See you then,
Stacie Mahoe
