Still Want MOAR? Here's an Affiliate Webinar Goldmine

While you're in training webinar mode, our friends at Affiliate Summit have been cranking out lots of great ones themselves.

These educational sessions are helpful for affiliates at all levels, and some of the most popular webinars include:

Affiliate Marketing 101 (Jeannine Crooks)

When Pinterest Met Affiliate Marketing (Tricia Meyer)

Repurposing Content to Extend Reach and Authority (Deborah Carney)

10 Proven Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Affiliate Website (Evan Weber)

You'll find the complete webinar archive here.

New Form Integrations: Gravity Forms and 123 Forms

Looks like contact and opt-in forms are the theme of this month's newsletter, eh?

What can we say -- forms are a vital part of growing your lists. And we're pleased to announce two new integrations that make it easy for AWeber customers to do that.
WordPress users, with Gravity Forms for AWeber, you can now pop a contact form onto your site that invites users to automatically subscribe to your emails with a checkbox.

If you're not using WordPress, you can still create a contact form that offers subscription to your AWeber list -- just use 123ContactForms. These forms let you gather information, register attendees for events and even receive payments, all while collecting subscribers.

Whether you're using these services with your own account, or simply promoting AWeber's flexibility and functionality (or both), these new integrations are sure to give your site pages a boost.

Love Is a Two-Way Street

After reading an article on 5 ways to improve your affiliate program, I was happy to see that we're doing most of them (and trying to go even further).

In that piece, one idea that really stood out was, Show affiliates some love (#5).

We all appreciate being recognized for a job well done. And since many of us thrive on competition, we wanted to give extra props to our outstanding AWeber affiliates. Here's how:
1. Our Top 10 affiliates for April will receive an AWeber Swag Bag, full of goodies like our popular athletic socks, t-shirts, hats and more. No sign-up is necessary, just keep raising your sales game -- then keep an eye on your mailbox.
2. Also, if you want to flex your design skills, you should enter our Email Template Design Competition. The April 20th deadline is looming, so now's your chance to get in and win free memberships to top design training site Tuts+ or free AWeber service packages. Get complete details and guidelines here.
3. Finally, Affiliate Summit is compiling a list of the best affiliate marketing blogs. If you want to nominate one, including your own, and get some serious link love, click here.

Got any other ideas on how we can return the love? Send them our way.

What's Coming Next Month

We're already working on more new webinars (thanks for the excellent topic suggestions from our Headline Hacks webinar).
Plus, new videos like our Email Campaign Confessions series, and guides like our How To Market Your Business With Pinterest. You'll see those and even MOAR in May.

Drag-and-Drop Email Design Is Here
Good news, AWeber community. This system upgrade is so big, we're
devoting most of this issue to it: The new AWeber broadcast editor went
live this week for all customers!
If you haven't seen or used it in your account yet, check it out.
It's a big step forward in making email marketing more usable and
functional for people of all skill levels, with three different editing
options to choose from:
1. The Block Editor, for those with a vision but no HTML experience.
2. The Raw HTML Editor, where designers can tweak every bit of code 'til it's just so.
3. The Plain Text Editor, with black text on a white background. No
formatting or fanciness.

For more info and a quick demo, you can play (and share) these two new videos ...

1. How It Works

2. Who It's Designed For
The new editor's currently in beta, so we're still making improvements. Check it out, flaunt it to prospective users and send us your feedback.

Want Moore? Join Our Live Webinar
Join
us on Wednesday, March 14 at 12:00 p.m. EST when Jay and Nick Moore
will show you how to use this cool new drag-and-drop function, import
your current templates, and answer
 any questions you might have.

Sneak Preview: Email Template Design Competition

Since
the new broadcast editor is a pretty big switch, we'd like to help
designers get familiar with its functionality. What better way to do
that than with an email template design competition?
We've teamed up with the folks at the AWesome design site Tuts+
and will be giving away free memberships and AWeber service for the
best designs. Winning designers retain full rights to their work and
will be featured in the AWeber and Tuts+ communities, so if you're a
whiz with email template design - or know someone who is - we hope
you'll join in the fun.
We'll be announcing the competition soon on our blog, but this is a special sneak peek for our affiliates, so grab the competition guidelines here and get a head start!

Calling All AWeber Affiliate Masterminds

At Affiliate Summit West 12, the Masterminds Groups panel
stood out for me as a great model for sharing feedback and ideas.
Surveys are helpful, but we'd like to go beyond that this year and try
something new: The AWeber Masterminds Group.
We're looking for a select group of AWeber affiliates. Are you
passionate about our program? If you've achieved some success and can
contribute 1-2 hours a month to help us make our program even better, we
 want to hear from you.

Mastermind membership will be on a rolling basis, with a three- or
six-month term, and revolve around a moderated monthly conference call
and private LinkedIn group. There are plenty of benefits, but no costs.

Interested? Get your AWeber affiliate ID# ready and apply here today.

Yes, I Want to Be A Mastermind

What's Coming Next Month

In
April, we'll open registration for our next special guest webinar on
optimizing your landing pages and opt-in forms. (Catch our recent Headline Hacks webinar replay here.)
We'll also have an update on the launch of our AWeber Masterminds
group, plus more cool apps and integrations you can promote.

In Beta: New Drag-and-Drop Email Creation

When you're trying to promote AWeber to potential new customers, you may have heard that our message editor had been getting a bit...mature. By 2012 standards, anyway.
Great news: Very soon, we'll be releasing a new broadcast editor to help our customers create emails more easily than ever - which will help you convert more marketers than ever.
The upgraded tool is built for all skill levels, with three different editors to work in: plain text, raw HTML and a new drag-and-drop block editor.
Headlines, images, buttons, logos, paragraphs, coupons, product listings
 - they can all be dragged right into messages. You can build
custom email structures in a few clicks.

If you have an AWeber customer account, look for the link to explore the new editor on the create broadcasts page. If it's not there, don't worry, you'll see it very soon as we expand our beta test rollout. Or, you can request an invite at our live webinar today at noon ET.

At
noon ET today (January 12), we're offering a sneak peek of the new
broadcast editor via a live webinar. Sign up to see it - and request an invite to the beta!

Fun and Face Time Sets Affiliate Summit West Apart

Over the years, I've been fortunate to attend a lot of digital marketing events. And having seen conferences from a variety of angles (speaker, exhibitor and attendee), I must admit, there's something special about Affiliate Summit.

Many attendees remarked on how friendly the crowd was, especially to affiliate industry newcomers, and that ASW12 had a great mix of education, inspiration, networking and fun. I couldn't agree more - check out these event photos if you don't believe me.

While you can find tactics, tips and answers on countless websites, the best part of live events is still connecting with people face to face. When it comes to building relationships, especially new ones, that opportunity is hard to replicate online - even if you're a social media butterfly. And the crowd at ASW12 was definitely friendly and outgoing. I enjoyed meeting several AWeber customers, affiliates and fans and hearing your feedback. And even though I didn't find any free money, I did meet Mr. Free Money (above). Here's a brief ASW12 recap.

Since many of our AWeber affiliates are new to the field, we're working with Affiliate Summit to find more ways to help you grow your sales. So stay tuned for more Summit passes, free educational webinars and resources and if you're attending an upcoming Affiliate Summit, be sure to connect with me on Twitter so we can meet next time.

A New Year Calls for New Ads

While we always wish our affiliates happy holidays and a prosperous new year, for 2012, we wanted to give you something extra to accompany those wishes.
If you log into your affiliate account and click over to the badges and banners, you'll find a host of new designs. Use them well!

What's Coming Next Month

We've got some new goodies we're putting together for you in the next month. We'll soon be rolling out a set of Quick Start videos you can use to help marketers quickly sync their social profiles with AWeber.

We're also working on animated GIFs marketers can use as calls to action in their emails. They'll be coming out in the next few weeks, so look for them in February's newsletter!

Three New Apps for Building Social, Blogging and Ecommerce Lists

In November, AWeber rolled out a series of powerful new integrations to give customers more tools and functionality. These new apps and plugins just missed our last newsletter, so if you haven't had a chance to check them out, here are three popular ones you don't want to miss:

1. Facebook Registration for Web Forms

Bottom line: Facebook users who are logged in can now subscribe to your AWeber list without even touching their keyboards. Yes, really. No typos, no friction at sign up, and a perfect social tie-in.
Check out the Facebook plugin.

2. Add PayPal Customers to your Lists

Bottom line: Our new PayPal app connects your AWeber and PayPal accounts, so you can streamline the move from prospect to customer, optimize your autoresponder series and add people who buy different products to different lists. We're pretty excited, too.
Check out the PayPal app.

3. WordPress Widget Adds Comments Opt-In

Bottom line: We've enhanced our popular WordPress opt-in widget with two killer features. Subscribers can now sign up to your list when commenting or registering on your blog without having to fill out a separate web form, and the plugin now has a dashboard pane, so you can see just how well it's working for you.
Check out the WordPress widget.

More Affiliate Training Ahead in 2012

Our October Killer List Building Techniques that Work (Email + Social) webinar with Affiliate Summit now has over 1,200 views on YouTube. Check out the 90-minute webinar here, or register today for Affiliate Summit West 2012 in Vegas, where I'll be leading another session on list building.

Can't make it to Vegas? Don't worry. Our affiliate webinar series picks up in the new year with a special session on Top Takeaways from Affiliate Summit West 2012.
And in 2012, we'll be presenting monthly sessions with some of the affiliate marketing industry leaders as guests. Keep an eye on the January issue for more details.

What's Coming Next Month

While we've stuck with the first Tuesday of each month since relaunching this newsletter, January 2012 presents a sticky situation. With the New Year still fresh, and the biggest affiliate industry event the next weekend, we think the next issue would be more valuable to you on Tuesday, January 10.
I'll be including highlights from Affiliate Summit West (and tweeting live from the show at @hunterboyle), plus updates on new AWeber features and brand-new ad banner and medallion creative you can use for a fresh look with your 2012 promotions.

Until then, on behalf of the entire team at AWeber, have a wonderful holiday season!

New Marketing Tool Makes Switching To AWeber Easier

Moving your opt-in list to another email provider can seem like a huge hassle, even when the benefits of switching are clear.

However, when you know the steps involved, it's not quite so imposing.

Having helped many customers migrate from Constant Contact, we created a special guide to make the transition easier: Moving From Constant Contact to AWeber.

If your marketing includes service comparisons or talks about the upside of switching to AWeber, this step-by-step guide will complement those messages -- and boost your sales with other marketers looking to switch.

What's Coming Next Month

I really wanted to spotlight new apps in this issue, but our send date proved to be a few days early. So this Thursday, please check out our blog for details about a cool new Wordpress integration, and next week, look for more major app launches as well. I'd tell you more, but if I did, I'd have to ... well, you know.
Also in the December 6 issue, we'll feature our forthcoming ebook (co-produced with the MarketingSherpa research team) and open up registration for our post-holiday affiliate training webinars.

Boost Your Sales With a New AWeber Overview

When it comes to choosing the right email marketing service provider, there's no shortage of options. And as an affiliate, you may find it tricky to convey what separates one provider from another these days.

That's why we created our AWeber At A Glance Guide.

This quick-read, seven-page PDF will help your audience see why more than 110,000 customers trust us with their email marketing. With sections such as The AWeber Difference, Features, Pricing and Testimonials, you can use the complete guide, or focus on specific areas, to enhance your sales and marketing efforts.
It's also an ideal complement to our new promotional videos, like Three Reasons to Use AWeber.
