Happy New Year! Just when I was getting use to writing 2011 on my checks, we've entered 2012. I love fresh beginnings. I love Mondays. I love September (new school year:). And I love January because of the fresh start of a new year.
I'm really excited this week because I am gearing up for the relaunch of my newly revamped Articology Article Marketing Training Program. It is the #1 program members ask me about. It is an award-winning training program. I have been training hundreds of members in it for several years.
Unlike most marketers, I have very few quitters:) Most Articology members complete the entire course and I think this is because of a few reasons -- but the primary one being I tend to overdeliver and I plan on doing the same this year by adding two different types of personal mentoring with me as part of the program. Honestly, the value of this is well worth the investment, but look out for more information on Articology and article marketing when I kick off the program on January 24th with a teleclass. So mark your calendars okay?
What Are The BEST Ways To Share Your Content In 2012?
Well the best way to figure that out is by taking a look at how we shared content in 2011 and deciding what worked and what didn't. As you know social media is an ever evolving medium, so it's best to stay on top of what vehicles work best when we want to get our content out in the marketplace and share it with the world! That's what I'm talking about in today's feature article. Check it out below.
What Are Your Intentions For The Week?
This week I am going to finish my sales page for Articology, hold some virtual cocktails with potential strategic partners (are you one?), and commit to some of the other marketing strategies I have scheduled on my calendar for this month. Don't forget to stop by Facebook and let me know what you're intentions are for the week so I can cheer you on!
Enjoy this first week of 2012 - your POWER year!
What Are The Best Ways To Share Content In 2012?
PS: A big "rich" WELCOME
to all of you new
readers who joined our tribe of entrepreneurs
week. You're going to love the simple strategies & tools you
find here to help you get content, get known, and get more clients -
I am struggling to speak to my audience in a way that they can relate to. Some of my colleagues say that I speak "over" my clients heads. What can I do to help this.
You are either a very intelligent man and speak this way naturally, you feel a need to write with a very intelligent vocabulary to show that you know the material, or you are somewhere in between. Wherever you may fall in this spectrum, understand that you first and foremost need to be crystal clear on WHO your audience is. If you are continuously speaking over their heads, then you are not in alignment with your ideal client. You are speaking to someone else.
So you either need to speak at the level where they can understand your message or you need to find out where the people you are writing for are hanging out -- because you aren't reaching them quite yet. This is the type of work we can get super focused on during a VIP Day together. Hope that helps:)
This Week I'd Like To Share A Strategic Content Marketing Tip...
How We Shared Content In 2011. What Traffic You May Have Missed Out On. How You Can Do Better In 2012...
The website social media sharing widget AddThis recently published statistics on how people shared their content in 2011 and while some of the stats were predictable, a few others were surprising. I thought this would be good information for us all to know when moving forward in 2012 in how we share our content for maximum exposure.
Just to give you a little background information, AddThis is installed on over 11 million websites and reaches over 1.2 billion users. So these statistics give a pretty good view of the kind of sharing being done on the web today.
1. Facebook makes up 52.1% of sharing on the web, which is up from last year's 44%. This statistic is not really surprising as we all are well aware of how much of a powerhouse Facebook is - but if you were on the fence about joining because you are afraid of the technology or learning curve it's time to get over it! Sign up for your account and create your own FB page this year and ensure that your content is part of the 52% being shared across the web in 2012. I will be publishing instructional videos around the topic of Facebook for business this year, so look out for those. Find me on Facebook at: http://LisaLovesFacebook.com
2. Twitter makes up about 13.5% of sharing on the web and has grown 576.9% since last year. While not a huge percentage of content sharing, the increase is significant enough for all entrepreneurs to establish a Twitter account and get tweeting this year. Find me on Twitter at @LisaAngelettie
While the statistics for these two social media tools are not too surprising, the stats for these next two absolutely are!

Digital Access Pass - Membership Software
I've been working on creating a membership site/area for my business, basically because I like businesses that have a central area for products and programs I buy. I like to see all my stuff in one place. I think it encourages repeat business as well. So I tried several platforms, many of which I'm sure you've heard of, to integrate membership features with Wordpress. The only one robust enough that does EVERYTHING I needed it to do and had the EASIEST learning curve was Digital Access Pass. I highly recommend it. Husband and wife team and the customer service is superior.
Article marketing entrepreneurs are constantly sending me knew software to try and new submission programs to join in hopes for a "good review" on my site. As you know I rarely give 'em, because most of them produce less than desirable results. But this is the ONLY article submission service that I RAVE about consistently. The reason why is that their pool of sites that they publish too are high quality and the cost is affordable for the new article marketer.
