In the 90's, being a healer was NOT the norm - there is no certification process in shamanism. In one too many sessions I ruminated I need to be certified in order to be a healer! Finally my mentor laughed and said CERTIFY YOURSELF! Aarghh! Huh? What? No way...yet her words stayed with me...okay after a trip to the office supply store for some official swirly border paper [hey I was going to do this up right] pondering on WHAT GIVES ME JOY; I created theSchool of Life form and certified ME. Yes indeed, the certificate is up on my wall next to all my conventional degrees and awards. It's an ACT OF POWER as a shamanic healer, artist and astrologer. Later working with clients hearing their life story I'd pull out the 'School of Life' certificate. Okay let's tweak this thing and get you ready to go. *smile* What do you mean? I can do this on my own? There would be an inward breath, a sigh and then the knowing. Sure can I'd say... Here it is, sign it when you're ready. And that's what I am asking of you at this Aries New Moon I'm asking you to join me in this ritual... Ask yourself this question (let it work you for a couple of days) I'm waiting for ______ to say it's okay for me to ________________! Fill in the blanks. Easy peasy! It's time to turn your little oh into a BIG OH! Keyword: Transformation. Healers love transformation. We love finding our BIG OH and then sharing the journey of OH that leads our clients to find their BIG OH! Improvisation is the practice of acting, singing, talking and reacting, of making and creating, in the moment and in response to the stimulus of one's immediate environment and inner feelings resulting in new thought patterns, new practices, new structures or symbols, and/or new ways to act. Improvisation can be thought of as an on the spot or off the cuff spontaneous activity. Maybe you've heard of Playback Theatre. Last May Suzanne Evan invited us to join an improv group. I signed up FAST when my dear friend Petrina (a registered drama therapist and theatre pro) started up her improv group last month. OH THIS IMPROV THING ROCKS! It's subtle and profound; I get to see/feel my energetic wall (NO) - where I hold back. Then how it feels to say YES and move the energy forward. Our first improv session I experienced the energetic wall I'd been hitting in my business. Marketing is a profound journey of self-discovery and transformation. Finding and honing your message is transformation on steroids...it leads to your BIG OH! Your big OH is an aha moment Eureka - this is what I came to teach and share...this is what gives me joy. I can get paid for this! WOW. OH MY. You find those BIG OH moments when you move, when you step up and decide to go be seen by choice and not by chance.(TM) Designed to Exclude- it's what you're not seeing, so here's the help A lasting shift in Spirit comes from improving your internal dialog. ~ Dr. Phil As above, so below, as within, so without- astrology is a sacred symbolic language. The planetary energies moving through the sky offer a spiritual dialog that mirrors the story unfolding within us and around us. This New Moon in Pisces reveals our internal dialog after setting the tone at the Aquarius New Moon -now what's in the way? Show up, share your truth and be willing to be willing. Love yourself, step up, go be seen. When we play small we act small. Pisces asks each of us to embody spirit, to step into the BIGGER version of YOU. What did I come to teach and share? When one leaves Spirit at the door, we begin to 'think' we are manifesting on our own, that we are going at it alone. This disconnect creates a whole lot of problems. I had a huge amount of success in my twenties after building a successful interior design company from nothing and grew it into a multiple 6-figure business that left me spiritually bankrupt by my early thirties. When we leave spirit behind it causes all sorts of problems. Pisces asks each of us to partner with spirit and this Pisces New Moon will bring up your issues with hiding due to inner fears- fear of being seen, fear of what other people may think (need to be liked). As Dorothy discovered the power was always with her and those ruby red slippers will always bring us HOME. It's is no coincidence that Pisces + Aries = Spirit + Ego. It's the chicken and the egg question- which came first spirit or ego? Yet you may be living a life designed to exclude spirit...in favor of the ego. In my shamanic work with clients there is a whole lot of Who am I to hear G-ds voice, I'm not good enough, who am I to be connected to Spirit. Last week on February 2, 2012 Neptune rolled back into deep watery Pisces for the next 13 years. Neptune rules the 12th house and all things Pisces = your connection to the inner muse + the God/dess of your understanding. Where is Pisces in your birth chart? Here it indicates your connection to your inner muse and Source | Spirit | God\dess of your understanding. Unhealed this Pisces energy brings up all those unconscious fears we've collectively pushed away. Dancing with Neptune is all about piercing the veil by seeing where you are bound up- through your need to: Be liked/ loved Be recognized/ respected Feel safe Be in control and right Neptune's calling each of us out into the LIGHT and driving humanity toward spiritual fulfillment- to dance with the divine. Neptune + the Machine = ??? Neptune in Pisces offers a journey to your inner muse. All the dark spots- ways we like to hide- are being called out into the light for healing = acceptance versus tolerance It's an awakening. My word for 2012 is transformation? When we clear the clutter we make way for deeper transformation and become an embodied Transformer. People regularly ignore curiosity because it appears, on the surface, to be a very obvious, simple, impotent emotion-something unusual appears or someone captivates us by a story, we feel curious, and direct our attention to explore further....curiosity is a deeper, more complex phenomenon that plays a critical role in what makes people's lives most worth living. Curiosity is the spark plug that ignites other factors that contribute to happiness and meaning in life.- Curious by Dr. Todd Kashdin Curiosity is the doorway into a deeper solution for our clients. Questions like 'I wonder and what if invites the Essential Self to step forward through the shadow's fog. I've found lightning bolts of clarity comes with curiosity, especially when on the phone. As a healer it's a skill worth practicing. This week grab your journal and head to your local coffee shop to people watch. Merge with your Angels | Helping Spirits, and listen to your inner guidance. With compassion, watch what people around you are doing, how they are acting. Someone may catch your attention. Ask yourself I wonder questions: Where they are out of balance? How am I Wired for Success at this New Moon in Aquarius? :: Freedom :: Airy Aquarius ruled by Uranus, governs the electrical force in the body - your central nervous system. Uranus brings about sudden change of direction by outside events beyond your control. Initially the chaos restructures and reorders us. In nature this archetypal force is represented by lightning-a bolt of clarity, the sudden aha. How fast I can navigate the sea of change depends on how well I step into the flow of creative energy around me. We are all wired for hardwired for success. We meet Uranus in our mid-forties...the mid-life crisis that demands we face the shadows of our past to claim our creative voice of the future. It's a betwixt and between place. Mercury is already in Sag stirring the pot as he goes retrograde on Thanksgiving. Mercury is about communication, Sag is about taking a risk, and standing up for your truth. Truth telling requires soulful path workers. Wanting and waiting for direction? Some wait their whole lives for the right' path to show up when it's already there within you, seeded before birth- your Soul's call.
