Island time! Fresh crab, oysters, shrimp, crayfish, and catfish. Sandy beaches for metal detecting. Mari Gras parades and marinated fruit. Kicking back at a new RV resort. Warm temps moderated by the breeze
coming off the water. We are on Galveston Island. We came through here about a year ago. We stopped long enough to have lunch -- and to make a mental note that we'd like to come back and stay longer. So here we are at Galveston Island RV Resort on the west end of Galveston Island.
Speaking of the RV resort…. If you are coming this way as you head north this spring, or if you come this way
next fall, we've arranged for you to get some freebies. Free souvenir t-shirts and free electricity. Your stay has to be sometime between March 20 and May 20 this spring, or between September 5 (after Labor Day) and October 31 next fall. When you call them for reservations, you need to tell them that you want Coleen's WOW deal. We'll have more on the website about the park later, but I wanted to make sure you knew about this before you head north. Galveston Island RV Resort -

We added more solar panels to our motorhome. That has brought questions about where we got them, how we installed them, how we like them, and if we would recommend them. Bob's recent article answers these questions.
Here are some of the other articles he's written on solar. They will fill you in on how we got started with solar and how we use it.
I haven't forgotten about writing about our Mexican dental work. I just haven't
gotten it done, yet.
Wherever you are in your travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,
Coleen

RVers are known for eating! Eating our way across the country is one of the fun parts of RVing for us. We prefer the local diners and the places that serve regional specialties. I'm compiling information on the eateries we
patronize. Here's a start:
I'm working on a page about Galveston eateries. We've found some that are excellent.
