Life as We Live It ... on the road with Coleen and Bob

Where In the World Are Coleen and Bob? (And Just What Are We
Doing?)
The pond is full of life! Bass break the glass-like surface as they jump. Duck tail-feathers face the sky, as they dip for fish. It's a hangout for Canadian geese, sometimes a single pair, and sometimes an entire flock.
Early mornings, we see the herd of deer dropping by for a drink. Sunny afternoons, we see Mr. Turtle sunning himself on a log. (No, we don't really know, but we've named him "Mr. Turtle" anyway). A large gray bird,
with a long neck and a V-shaped tail, skittishly comes by in the evenings.
Mirrored reflections make the white egrets living on the other side clearly visible. The blue heron that lived there last week provided sustenance for some other critter this week. The muskrats are building damns.
Rabbits, squirrels, a pair of doves, blue birds, kingfishers, cardinals, woodpeckers, and a host of other small birds and animals entertain us as they come and
go in the thickets surrounding the pond. Catfish, grass carp, and minnows balance the pond ecosystem.
The pond is not what brought us to our winter destination here in southern Georgia. But, we are thoroughly enjoying it.
Life's an adventure! Come on over to the RV Life and Travel website. Read our latest stories and blog posts. Find out what we've been up to. See what's been added.
Wherever you are in your travels, we wish you joy and prosperity, Coleen

RVing and Camping Tip
Hang it up! I'm not talking only about your jacket that you take off when you come in the door and automatically hang on the nearby hook. You can hang lots of frequently used items where they will be handy for use. We have our coffee mugs hanging by the coffee pot. We
mounted two substantial, but nice looking, hooks for the cups on the wall next to the stove. We don’t have to open a cupboard to get them. This also frees up space in our cupboard for other items. We have been on some very rough roads, and never had a problem with them jumping off the hooks. Bonus tip: Coleen changes out the mugs according to the seasons. It's an easy way to do a little decorating for the holidays that doesn't overwhelm a small RV.

Breakdowns on the
Road
Yep, we have them, too. The last time, it was while going down the interstate in our motorhome.

RVing and Camping Tip
Does it really need to be put away? We drink coffee almost every day. We have a nice looking stainless steel percolator. It stays on the stove while we are parked. It actually gives the kitchen a homey look, without looking cluttered. It rides nicely in the kitchen sink when we travel. Again, we save space in our cupboards for other things. Bonus tip: Limit what you have loose on your counter tops and
stove to what will easily fit in your sink when it is time to move.

Something to Think About
I never lose sight of the fact that just being is fun. ~ Katharine Hepburn
If you get to a place where your thoughts are concrete, simple, and focused, and you take deliberate action, then your thoughts become realities. ~ Author Unknown
