Where In the World Are Coleen and Bob? (And Just What Are We Doing?)
Summer plans? Don't know. Memorial Day weekend is considered the unofficial start of summer. But, that doesn't mean we need to have our summer plans in place. We are toying with the idea of staying south this summer. We've never been to Florida in the summer. We're discussing heading over to Alabama. Right now, we are in Georgia. Stay tuned, and we'll
keep you abreast of where we are and what we are doing.
Life's an adventure! Come on over to the RV Life and Travel website. Read our latest stories and blog posts. Find out what we've been up to. See what's been added.
Wherever you are in your travels, we wish you joy and prosperity, Coleen

Observations of Southern Georgia
Observations of southern Georgia…here are a few things I noticed while Coleen and I were RVing outside a small town in southern Georgia. We were there for several months, so had a chance to get to know the people and learn about southern customs, especially in rural Georgia.

Take Advantage of Welcome
Centers
Sure, you can find all sorts of travel information online. And, you may rely on your GPS, so you don't think you need a state map. But, stop
at those welcome centers, anyway. They are good places to get out and stretch your legs. The bathroom facilities at many of them are surprisingly clean. Some have free WiFi available for you to use.
We recently stopped at the one going into Florida. They were handing out free glasses of chilled orange and grapefruit juice. They gave us free postcards. We picked up an assortment of brochures and tourist guides. The lobby displays were fun and educational.
And, you just may decide you'd like an old fashioned paper map!

Have Your RV Ready for an
Emergency
It's tornado season in Oklahoma, hurricane season in Florida, and wildfire season everywhere from New Jersey to Arizona. I'm not one to
focus on doom-and-gloom, and that's not my intent here. But, be prepared!
Your RV can serve all sorts of purposes in an emergency. As the vehicle that takes you
out of harm's way, it can hold numerous personal belongings. It can house you, or those who've lost their home. Should you need to spend time close to a loved one in the hospital, your RV in the parking lot can be a true convenience.
However, you need to have your RV ready. We've written several articles to help you. They range from stocking your RV for emergency use to keeping it mobile and ready to roll.

RVing and Camping Tip
Coordinate your clothing around one or two basic colors. When your wardrobe is mix-and-match compatible, you need fewer clothes. Fewer clothes means they take up less space. And they fit that space better, therefore staying neater and nicer looking.
