Where In the World Are Coleen and Bob? (And Just What Are We Doing?)
We're making our way across
Texas. Some of you know that means we are eating our way across Texas. I've been working on some extra projects associated with our Workers On Wheels Newsletter and website. Bob's been busy with RV maintenance and writing. He may tell you I work him too hard. But, he does get a little time to play. Enjoy the articles he shares with you in this issue of the RV Life and Travel E-zine.
Wherever you are in your travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,
Coleen

A Metal Detector: How I Come to Think I
May Need One for RVing
Bob's been metal detecting. Here he shares how he got started with the help of an experienced metal detecting friend. The equipment, the fun, the first finds…and what it's leading to next. Read it here.
RV Resort Review - Galveston Island RV Resort
We ventured on from Port Isabel, Texas, to Galveston Island. While in Galveston, we stayed at the Galveston Island RV Resort. (If you stay there between now and May 20, tell them Coleen sent you -- and ask for a free t-shirt!) You can read what Bob wrote about the resort here.
Boondocking Near Port Lavaca, Texas
More beach time! But, instead of a fancy new resort, it's boondocking. Time to put our solar system, with the additional panel and the new batteries to the test. We were taking advantage of a free camping area near Port Lavaca. It was quiet and peaceful until spring breakers arrived. Crying kids and partying adults swarmed the beach. We moved. Bob
shares his view (when it was peaceful).

RVing and Camping Tips - Inexpensive, Additional Lighting
LED stick up lights are handy for RV use. These are the kind that operate on batteries and require no wiring. They are also inexpensive -- we picked up a package of three for less than $5.00. One advantage to using them is that it saves on your RV house battery. Another advantage is that you can easily mount them where you need light. We put one where we can reach it while laying
in bed.
