Where In the World Are Coleen and Bob?
(And Just What Are We Doing?)

Watching cows. Texas Longhorns, to be exact. And newborn calves. They live in the pasture that adjoins the RV park. We're in northern Texas, in a rural area northeast of Dallas. Our trips to the nearby little town of Savoy have us watching for farm animals, too. We've gotten to know which pastures have burros, goats, sheep, or horses. Bob claims he saw a pig one day, but I missed it. We both enjoy watching animals, whether wildlife, farm animals, or 4-H projects at the fair. It's a simple pleasure, for sure.

Wherever you are in your travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,
Coleen

The Free RV Refrigerator Fix that Saved Us $1000 or More

Metal Detecting Revisited: My New Garrett Ace 350 and Pro Pointer AT

Metal detecting has turned into my new hobby. It started when an RV park friend took me with him and let me use his metal detector. I've since bought a Garrett Ace 350 mand Pro Pointer AT.

Route 82 RV Park: A Homey Campground in Northern Texas

Route 82 RV Park is located on Highway 82 in northern Texas. It is outside the little town of Savoy. That's about 70 miles north of Dallas. The campground has an appeal that is hard to describe.

Campground Comparisons: Winter Texan, Vacation, and Home Park

We've spent at least a month at three different Texas campgrounds this winter. We've enjoyed -- and recommend -- all of them. I compare them here because each has a different "feel" from the others.

RVing and Camping Tips - Don't Overfill Your Gray Water

When parked with fresh water utility but no sewer hook-up, it is easy to use more water than your gray tank holds. A way to make sure that doesn't happen is to fill your fresh water tank with no more than your gray tank will hold, and then use that instead of being continually hooked up to incoming fresh water.
