PCA—For 2016's Fall Member Only Raffle, members submitted their entries for a chance to win Porsche's new 718 Cayman S. The heavily revised Cayman S is equipped with a 350-horsepower 2.5-liter flat four powering the rear wheels.

PCA—We have more than 500 Porsches registered for Werks Reunion Amelia Island — surpassing registrations for the first Werks Monterey in 2014. If you plan to display your Porsche, head over to WerksReunion.com to register. If you register by February 16 at 12 PM EST, you will be entered to win a set of Pirelli street tires. All attendees who register before the event will be entered into a raffle of more tires as well as a VIP trip to the Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nürburgring.

PCA—We traveled to the desert expecting to be cordially introduced to the newest member in Michelin’s family — the Pilot Sport 4S (PS4S) — in warm, dry weather. The Southern California desert usually serves it up, and for that reason is a logical location to unveil an ultra high performance (UHP) summer tire. But for this visit, even local residents were thrown a loop with the cold, soggy weather.
 
 PCA—Approximately 400 Porsches will start the 2017 Porsche Club of America (PCA) Club Racing 2017 season at the 24th annual 48 Hours at Sebring presented by Champion Porsche on Feb. 2-5 at the iconic Sebring International Raceway.

PCA—Tech Tactics East will be held at the Porsche Cars North America training facility in Easton, PA on Saturday, February 18, and Sunday, February 19, 2017. Registration is open at the following links. Saturday is sold out, but there is a waitlist.

PCA—Can’t attend the 48 Hours at Sebring? You're in luck, because PCA will be live-blogging the first club race of 2017. Follow all the action live beginning Friday morning, February 3, and ending after the sprint races on Saturday, February 4.
 
You can follow it either at the 48 Hours at Sebring website here or on the PCA.org home page. Don’t miss the fun as PCA Club Racing kicks off another great season.

The Drive—While Cadillac was making the headlines at the front with the victorious debut of their new prototype, with Jeff Gordon at the wheel no less, Porsche was quietly pounding out laps in the GT ranks and slowly working their way toward the front.
 
Motorweek via YouTube—The 993 Turbo is widely referred to as the "True Purist's Holy Grail." Hard to argue with a 12.4 quarter...even 21years later.

Black Flag via Jalopnik—Porsche has been extremely guarded about what’s behind the black louvered panel that hides the new 911 RSR’s engine bay. Under that panel, Porsche made the best use of the 911's meager backseat space by stuffing in a 510-horsepower endurance racing flat-six engine to make the RSR they use for legendary races such as Daytona and Le Mans.

PistonHeads via YouTube—Dan and Matt head to Blyton Park in the Porsche 718 Cayman S and BMW M2 to see if four cylinders can be better than six cylinders on track.

Road & Track—They say that 72 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot, but the one I'm about to give you is based on more than a decade's worth of personal experience: About thirty percent of my trackday students won't drive on a wet track. About half of the ones who will drive on a wet track are only doing it because they've already paid their fee and put in the effort to get there.

Although EPRE is better known for building monster drag racing engines, today they engineer and build all the engines for Singer Vehicle Design. Road & Track—As far as fast Audi wagons go, the RS2 Avant is perhaps the most famous. It was the company's first "RS" (Racing Sport) model, a line which has since spawned a multitude of fantastic cars. The Drive—When you think of a late 80’s Porsche, engine swaps shouldn’t be the first thing to come to mind. Most Porsche aficionados would cringe at the concept of doing an engine swap on such a vehicle. However, certain circumstances can lead to exceptions...like this 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera for example.

Atlanta Journal-Constitution—Police are looking for at least two teens they say stole two Porsche SUVs from the company’s North America headquarters in Hapeville.
 
The Smoking Tire via YouTube—This is a prime example of how easy it is to build a drag monster out of an otherwise unloved Tiptronic Porsche Turbo. With a few key upgrades, this 997TT, which came from the factory with 480 Horsepower, now makes 760 at the WHEELS. It's a missile for sure, although the automatic transmission isn't ideal for the canyons.

MultiBriefs—You never know when one is going to sneak up on you — a new project, that is. And that is what happened to me a few weeks ago.
 
Car and Driver—What can you say about a car that hits 60 mph in 2.6 seconds? That it’s quick, and that quick is beautiful. From the high perch of a crossover, the Turbo might look like a thousand other 911s, but that’s because the reactor core behind the rear wheels can’t be seen from above. We’d call that inner beauty, and isn’t that what’s important?

PistonHeads—Not sure why it's taken us so long to get in the new Porsche Panamera but, here we are at last, swoopy new styling, fizzing haptic switchgear, extra wheelbase and all-new V8 all present and correct. Hang on, V8? Motor1—Radar detectors are lifesavers for those who wish they could drive with both eyes on the road, rather than constantly alternating between glancing at the speedometer, the road, and the rearview mirror in search of flashing lights.
 
Autoblog—Acid Green, the color Porsche uses for details on its electrified cars, doesn't exactly sound environmentally friendly. After driving the new Panamera E-Hybrid, you don't really get a tree-hugging vibe either. Porsche's third attempt at a gas-electric sedan uses its electric motor to add performance, with environmental advantages like lower fuel consumption and electric-only driving considered bonuses.
 
The Drive—IMSA's Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge series opened the weekend's racing festivities with a four-hour enduro that saw a quartet of Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport racing cars come out on top of the 20-car Grand Sport class.

Petrolicious—It’s 5:30am, Sunday morning, and my alarm clock is ringing.

Sounds like the worst nightmare for most humans on this planet, although weirdly not for a Petrolhead. Quick breakfast, coffee on the go, and the best moment of the day is about to come. Key on the left, turn it to the right and wait for the inimitable sound of an aircooled flat 6 firing up.
 
CNET—If you own a vehicle that has airbags, you probably expect them to work in a collision. Porsche's latest recall addresses cars where that expectation might not be met.
 
Bloomberg—Volkswagen AG dethroned Toyota Motor Corp. last year to become the world’s best-selling automaker for the first time, propelled by surging demand in China which has been largely unaffected by the diesel-cheating scandal.
 
Automotive News—Porsche finished last year in position to retain the title of world's most profitable automotive brand. That success is one reason that, despite the fallout from parent Volkswagen Group's emissions-cheating scandal, Porsche plans to add jobs rather than cut them.
 
SportsCar 365—Porsche factory driver Richard Lietz believes the new 911 RSR will be a more consistent package than its predecessor, ahead of the car’s highly-anticipated debut in tomorrow’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.
