As you know, Porsche Club of America delivers e-Brake News to your inbox every Tuesday. This is the February monthly recap.

1. PCA Spotlight: Watch a lucky member win a Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS — and learn who the other four winners are

PCA—Each fall and spring, Porsche Club of America opens a member only raffle, in which you, the member, may purchase entries for a chance to win a brand-new Porsche. For the Fall 2018 Member Only Raffle, the grand prize was a 911 Targa 4 GTS plus $25,000. In this video, we surprise one of five grand-prize winners with a new car.

2. Barnfinding: Blue Greed

PCA—Greed: It’s one of the seven deadly sins, right between lust and pride. Pride I can deal with in this business and lust does not come up much, at least not in a scary way. But greed, it’s a relatively common sin. Sometimes it comes at you sideways, as it did with this 1973 Porsche 911T Targa.

3. Mart Fresh: Buy them all — A Porsche for every occasion?

PCA—A popular PCA member benefit is The Mart, the club’s classifieds section online and in each issue of Porsche Panorama. Mart Fresh is a bi-weekly column in which PCA media staff and guest contributors pick what they think are the "freshest" Porsches currently available, and then attempt to explain their reasoning. Up this week are a 1973 914 2.0, 2013 Cayenne Diesel, 2009 Boxster, and 1982 911 SC.

4. Seinfeld Sued Over Allegedly Selling A Fake Porsche

PCA—Comedian and vintage car collector Jerry Seinfeld is currently in boiling water as a lawsuit has been filed against him in connection to an allegedly fake 1958 Porsche 356 that he sold. In a report by Newsday through Fox News, Fica Frio Limited accused Seinfeld of selling the collector a non-authentic car, which was bought for $1.54 million at an auction in Amelia Island, Florida in March 2016. The amount paid included the 10 percent auction house commission.

5. Déjà vu at 2019 Amelia Island auctions

PCA—A little over six weeks separates the Scottsdale Auctions from the Amelia Island sales. But it seems like there’s even less separation in terms of the variety of the Porsche consignments — so similar is the lineup that we had to look twice to make sure we weren’t actually looking at Scottsdale consignments. Why the feeling of déjà vu? Auction companies and classic car consigners aren’t dumb, they look at the trends and what did well in the previous cycle, and they tend to serve up more of the same, but it’s rarely been this similar in terms of offerings.
