PCA—With the 718 Boxster hitting showrooms soon, Porsche has been playing up the new four-cylinder car's connection to one of the its historic racers — in this case the 1960 718 RS60. The latest project by Petrolicious might just be the most exciting and fascinating film about both old and new 718s we've seen.

PCA—You may remember seeing a man with an extraordinary mustache walking around Porsche Parade last year, followed by a cameraman. He was Dennis Gage of the My Classic Car television show, filming an episode that'll debut May 21 on Velocity channel at 8:30 AM EST. Mark your calendars.

It will also air on MAVTV on June 24 at 10:30 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM EST, and on June 26 at 9 AM and 12 PM EST.

PCA—Described as a museum springing to life, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is the largest event held during the famed Monterey Classic Car Week, and is the only event where cars are doing what they were originally intended to do…race. Approximately 550 race cars are invited to compete in the world’s premier motoring event, and are accepted based on the car’s authenticity, race provenance and period correctness.

Motor1—Porsche has quietly unveiled a new biturbo V8 engine at the Vienna Motor Symposium.

Set to be used in the next-generation Cayenne and Panamera, the engine is loosely based on the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that powers the Audi S4.

MultiBriefs—The early Porsche Boxster (986) is quite a value on the used market. These days you can purchase one for about the same amount as a used Honda Civic, making it a tempting buy.

Similarly, the Porsche 944 has been one of the best values in a used car from the marque. Of the 944 variants, the 944 S2 is often considered the best value for performance, reliability and price.
 
PCA—Porsche Club of America's newest event, Treffen North America starts this September with Treffen Lake Tahoe, Sept. 7-11. Letters to Doug via Jalopnik—​​​​​​​For those of you who don’t want to read Gus’s whole message, I strongly suggest you do, because it is one of the most insane things I’ve read about cars in quite some time. You know 9/11 truthers? Well, it sounds like Gus’s co-worker is a 959 truther. I suspect he belongs to a small group that includes, well, just himself.
 
Motor Trend—A new gif is highlighting every single Porsche race car that’s won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, from the 917 KH in 1970 to last year’s 919 Hybrid. Among the automakers that have entered race cars at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Porsche is the most successful with a record of 17 wins in total. Porsche has raced the 919 Hybrid since 2014 and will continue to do so for 2016 after successfully winning the 2015 event and breaking Audi’s streak.
