PCA—The 911 Carrera GTS will be offered in version 3.0, confirmed by Porsche in an announcement over the weekend. It’ll be “Typically GTS,” according to Porsche, which means it’ll have a bit more horsepower, a lot of black accents, and a high level of standard equipment for the price.
Jalopnik—With 415 rear-mounted horsepower, optional enormous ceramic brakes and a list price of over $100,000 the 997 Porsche 911 GT3 was a certified
supercar when new. Ten years later it’s still the stuff of dreams for most of us, so I was pretty jealous to find out somebody’s owned one for less than a cost of a Chevy Volt.
PCA—The world-renowned 55th Rolex 24 at Daytona is
scheduled for January 26-29, 2017 at Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, Florida. PCA welcomes all PCA members, Porsche owners, and their guests to the PCA Car Corral Hospitality Tent, located infield at "The Kink."

Rennlist—When it comes to the long and illustrious lineage of the
Porsche 911, the 996 sits low on the list. From its peculiar styling and potential reliability issues, it has been the black sheep of the 911 range for years. Thankfully, that makes them cheap, and if you know what to look for, you can snag a nice 996 for a penny and a song.
Car and Driver—Well, bless their hearts, as they might say around Porsche’s U.S. headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. Porsche officially says the 2017 911 Carrera S cabriolet with the PDK automatic transmission and the Sport Chrono package can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds. But that number is way off. It takes just 3.2 seconds, according to our
measurements.
The Drive—Last weekend, IMSA held their pre-season test called "The Roar Before The 24". The purpose of this test is to gather baseline data for the upcoming season to help develop a proper balance of performance.

Wilson Racing today announced a partnership with Houston based Winward Racing whose drivers will join CJWR for all ten rounds of the 2017 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge.
The Drive—Since the center stack screen was introduced to Porsche models in the 996s tenure, it's always been just a little bit awful, and a little bit behind the times. Porsche was a latecomer to touchscreens, they were late adopters of USB integration, and their Bluetooth connectivity was poor until just recently.

Autotrader—If you've spent any time reading any article in any publication about any Porsche 911, you've probably heard that Porsche offers a lot of ridiculous options for it. In fact, at this point, the Porsche 911's crazy options are discussed almost as frequently as is its driving experience.
Consumer Reports via YouTube—The 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster features a four-cylinder turbo engine that produces impressive speed and a playful performance. The interior has a premium atmosphere.

The Drive—Porsche announced a few months ago that they would not be attending Detriot's famed North American International Auto Show, which opens next week. We've known about this for a while, but it's come into stark focus as the show draws nearer.

24/7 Wall St.—Ultra-luxury carmaker Porsche has trouble selling its traditional coupes. Sales of the iconic 911 dropped from 9,898 in 2015 to 8,901 last year. It also struggled with the sales of its full-sized sport utility vehicle, the Cayenne, the sales of which fell from 16,473 in 2015 to 15,383 last year. And its sedan, the Panamera, also lost sales, falling from 4,986 to 4,403.
