PCA—It’s hard to believe the Boxster has now been around for 20 years and soon will zoom past sounding a little more WRX and a little less 911. That’s not necessarily a bad thing because the 718 Boxster and 718 Boxster S, as they’re officially called, will make do with more power and much more torque with their new turbocharged flat-four engines.

PCA—Porsche Design is known for a lot of things, which you’ve likely seen on store shelves near you. Shoes, shirts, pants, jackets, and more are the products you might associate with the company. Then there are the more obscure products with the design firm’s branding, such as smartphones, timepieces, pipes, pens, and even a soundbar made with a 911 GT3 exhaust.

PCA—Won't be able to attend the 25th annual 48 Hours at Sebring PCA Club Race? Have friends or relatives competing in the kick-off race of PCA's 2016 season? Follow along on the 48 Hours of Sebring Live Blog. The goal of the blog is to give you a feel for what you would experience if you were there. The cars, the racing, and the people will all be featured. Coverage will begin Friday morning, February 5, and continue through Saturday.
Friday evening will feature special coverage of an exciting new feature of the event called "Speed Showcase." Speed Showcase is a social event which allows vendors to interact with club members. The highlight will be a very special presentation by Porsche Motorsports North America. Watch for it.

Reuters—Porsche (VOWG_p.DE) does not plan to join luxury carmakers who are trying to develop self-driving vehicles, its chief executive told a German newspaper, indicating differences between large premium brands and sports car companies.

Porsche—Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor in the United States of Porsche 918 Spyder, 911, Boxster and Cayman sports cars, Macan and Cayenne SUVs, and the Panamera four-door sports sedan line-up, today announced January 2016 sales of 4,354 vehicles, up 10.6 percent over January 2015 (3,937). This kicks the year off for PCNA with a record-setting January.
 
Automotive News—Porsche will review its global strategy in the middle of this year after easily surpassing its goal of 200,000 sales in 2015. New sales boss Detlev von Platen, who took over in November after heading Porsche Cars North America, isn't ready to reveal the company's next long-term sales target. But he did predict another year of worldwide growth for the brand.

Motor Trend—Built for the sports car purist, the Porsche 911 R will reportedly debut at the Geneva motor show in March.

Late last year, we first caught wind that the 911 R was all but confirmed for production. Now, Porsche 911 product boss August Achleitner has told Motoring.com that the car will sell in limited numbers.

Motor Trend—There’s some good news for anyone who is overwhelmed by the amount of buttons found in the interior of the current-generation Porsche Panamera. A spy photographer managed to snap interior photos of a next-generation Panamera prototype and it looks like Porsche is drastically reducing the amount of buttons used for the climate control and infotainment functions in favor of capacitive, touch-sensitive controls.

Two podium finishes for Porsche at the IMSA 24h of Daytona this weekend: the new 911 RSR of Porsche North America scored the 3rd place in GTLM and the 911 GT3 R campaigned by the customer team Black Swan Racing finished on the 2nd place in GTD class.

Motor Authority—The current Porsche Cayenne was only updated for the 2015 model year but a successor has just been spotted in prototype form. The SUV’s exterior is disguised but we can already make out the general shape of this all-new, third-generation model, which appears to have a sleeker look dominated by a longer, flatter roof.
