PCA—PCA members, it's the time of year for the Fall 2017 Member Only Raffle! PCA will be giving away at least one grand prize, a Porsche 911 plus $25,000 cash. As with all PCA Member Only Raffles, there's a chance to add more grand prizes dependent on ticket sales.

PCA—Porsche has opened Rennsport Reunion VI ticket sales a week in advance for PCA members! This special ticket sale is for general admission, paddock, and Porsche corrals. The offer is open from Oct. 11 at 8 AM EST to Oct. 17 at 11:59 PM EST.

PCA—In the age of ride-hailing apps and car-sharing programs, not to mention the advent of semi-autonomous and autonomous offerings from some luxury auto manufacturers, Porsche has largely stuck with building excellent vehicles that are fun to drive and selling them to individual owners. If you live in Atlanta, starting in November you’ll be able to hail a Porsche with an app, have it delivered to your door, and then drive it until it’s not needed anymore.

The Smoking Tire via YouTube—This 1969 Porsche 912 Targa is a driver-condition example featuring the stock 1600CC four-cylinder engine, making about 90 horsepower. The 912 was introduced as a lower-cost option than the 911, and featured a decontented 911 body and interior mated to the smaller powerplant from the outgoing 356SC.
 
Car and Driver—The 2017 model year was a big one for the Porsche 911, with the current 991-generation model emerging from its mid-cycle nip/tuck with some light cosmetic touch ups, updated infotainment systems, and, most significant, a new twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six that’s available in three states of tune—each yielding 20 more horsepower and buckets more torque when compared with the previous models.

Petrolicious—The tale of how this particular Porsche came to be has already been told, but the full story still has plenty of blank pages left to be filled. If you don’t have time to read about the transformation that brought the car to where it is today, the gist is this: serial number 9110101621 began as a crusty example of a neglected 911, and over the course of two years I worked with my favorite mechanics to transform it into the vision I’d had in mind and sketched on the pages of notebooks for almost half a decade.
 
MultiBriefs—Few racing cars conjure up the image and awake the emotion in me quite the same way as the Porsche 935. It debuted in 1975 and was the scourge of its competitors until the mid-1980's.

Motor1—Almost a week after catching a first glimpse of the Mission E, today we bring news about another fully electric car from Porsche. Only a concept, the Cayman-based e-volution serves as a research vehicle and is currently on display in Germany at the Electric Vehicle Symposium in Stuttgart.
 
Petrolicious—This story starts more than a decade ago, at the Frankfurt airport in 2006. Things were not going so well at the time. I had just picked up a then-new BMW M6 V10 at the factory, and after a few days and a few thousand kilometers of driving around Europe in the big GT, I’d finally made it to the Nordschleife.

The Drive—Teams from all over the world have gathered in Australia this week to compete in the 30th running of the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, a race which will see dozens of cars chasing each other in an endurance test from the northern tip of the Northern Territory in Darwin all the way south to Adelaide only powered by the sun.

Motor1—Porsche’s history in endurance racing is extensive and filled with plenty of trips to the winner’s circle. But three of the marque's most memorable finishes came at the hands of British drivers Richard Attwood in 1970, Derek Bell in 1982, and most recently, Nick Tandy in 2015.

Motor Trend—Since Volkswagen Group owns Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche, it would be easy to assume that all three companies feel like they’re in this ongoing diesel scandal together. But it sounds like Porsche is far from happy that it has been dragged into this mess. Its solution? Ask Audi to pay for everything.
 
The Drive—This weekend's 10-hour race at Road Atlanta marked the final event in the 11-round IMSA season, and Porsche was more than pleased to finish out their season with a pair of endurance championships, plus a pair of 911 GT3 Rs on the GTD class podium, and Porsche factory ace LMP1 driver, Brendon Hartley, sharing the overall victory in a privateer entry prototype.

PCA—The editors of Panorama are working on some stories and they need your help: We’d love to tell the story of the long-time connection between pilots and Porsches. From the service men and women who discovered Porsches while based in West Germany in the 1950s to the present. If you’re an Air Force pilot or a Naval Aviator, or if there’s one in your family, we’d love to make it part of this story. Photos are key, we’d love some shots of the Porsche and its pilot owner taken with the planes that he or she flew (or flies).

We’re also looking for a really special Cayenne. One that’s been a family member for a long time, a Cayenne that’s been everywhere and done everything. Preferably one with crazy high miles. If you think you might be the owner of that Cayenne and have some great stories to tell, let us know! If so, please contact us below.
