The Smoking Tire via YouTube—Although rear and mid-engined Porsche's are all the rage these days, quietly in the background, really good Porsche 944's have been climbing in price. This delightfully fresh 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo has been lovingly modified by its owner with a Hybrid KKK Turbo setup, coilover suspension, and bigger swaybars, and it's an absolute joy to drive.

Car and Driver—Porsche has perfected the art of scheduling the launch of new variants of its 911 range to keep something fresh and new in the lineup throughout a model generation. Case in point: This 2017 911 GTS model of the platform launched in its initial 991 form at the 2011 Frankfurt auto show and then updated to 991.2 specs in 2015.

Oversteer via Autotrader—I went in thinking I would prefer the Porsche. I generally like Porsches, because they're subtle, and understated, and they don't like to be the center of attention, just like me. I wear old t-shirts. Porsches are for people who wear old t-shirts. Ferraris are for people who wear form-fitting silk shirts with dragons on them.

Jalopnik—After people stripped down their 2.0-liter Volkswagen diesels before turning them in for the buyback, the court decided to add a ton of verbiage in the new 3.0-liter Volkswagen settlement to forbid such tomfoolery. Here’s everything it says people cannot do to their cars.
 
Road & Track—The Swiss Hillclimb Championship has held its annual Gurnigel Bergrennen competition event every autumn for the last 50 years. It's a 2.3-mile paved hillclimb with over 1000 feet of elevation changes. Cars average more than 81 mph throughout the course, full of tight hairpins and long straightaways. It's not for the faint of heart, as this GT3-R driver will now demonstrate.

Car and Driver—What It Is: The next-generation Porsche 911, internally called 992. While it retains the trademark rear-engine layout, it represents a major step forward, comparable to the switch from the 997 to the all-new 991 in late 2011.

Road & Track—Owing to its limited-production nature, the Porsche Cayman GT4 is already a collector car. That's a shame because a lot of them will be stored away as investments, rarely seeing the light of day. Really, Cayman GT4s should be tearing it up on wet rally stages, like this one.
 
Motor1—We are almost positive we’re looking at the Porsche Mission E in the making judging by the fact that one of the prototypes had a considerable amount of snow within the exhaust finisher. It means there wasn’t anything coming out of there, hence “Yolanda” was running entirely on electric power, otherwise the snow would have melted or would’ve been blown away.

Autoblog—The 928 is an outlier for the Porsche brand, an outlier for the public's imagination of what a Porsche looks like, and, frankly, an outlier for the creasy, angular era into which it was born. But it is positively and indelibly affiliated with one thing: the 1983 teen college application/prostitution ring dramedy Risky Business. (Trust us, we know the 928.) Yet, the decision in favor of the Porsche's inclusion (and destruction, and resuscitation) in Risky Business was not at all obvious.

Porsche—Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche 911, 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman sports cars, Macan and Cayenne SUVs, and the Panamera four-door sports sedan line-up in the United States, delivered 4,602 vehicles in January. This was the strongest January sales month ever recorded by the company.
