PCA—It's been 20 years since the original Boxster was introduced, and on that round number which happens to coincide with the biggest departure from the Boxster formula (a turbo flat-four replacing the six), Panorama sent a reporter to Florida to test the original and the latest 718 Boxster S.

PCA—The Porsche 912 was introduced to the European market in 1965 and was based on the brand-new 911, sharing virtually everything but an engine. The 912 was equipped with an air-cooled flat four, continuing a formula that had worked so well for the outgoing 356 as Porsche further refined the 911 — and its new flat-six engine — into what is now widely considered the most iconic sports car of all time.

PCA—We’re fans of Matt Farrah’s “One Take” road tests of strangers’ cars, yet every once in awhile one pops up in which you can tell he’s truly having fun. That happened on a recent test of a pristine Porsche 914 — the only one he’s driven.

Autocar—The new Porsche 911 GT3 that's due to be launched at the Geneva motor show in March will have a 4.0-litre flat six engine, according to a well-informed source close to the factory.

IMSA via YouTube—IMSA’s flagship series competes at 12 of North America’s leading sports car venues, including Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta, Long Beach and Road America. Competition takes place in four different classes: Prototype, Prototype Challenge, GT Le Mans and GT Daytona, with action in each of the four groups typically going all the way to the checkered flag.

Business Insider—On Monday, Porsche introduced five new versions of its iconic 911 sports car.

All five models bear the GTS nomenclature. They include the Carrera GTS Coupe, the Carrera 4 GTS Coupe, the Carrera GTS Cabriolet, the Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet, and the Targa 4 GTS.
 
MotorAuthority—The forthcoming 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS has lapped the 12.9-mile, 73-turn Nürburgring-Nordschliefe in 7 minutes 26 seconds. That's 12 seconds faster than the last 911 Carrera GTS and four seconds faster than the latest 911 Carrera S.

Car and Driver—In the past, it wasn’t just powertrains that were hybridized in Porsche’s gasoline-electric vehicles—their mission, too, was split between upholding a dynamic pedigree and reducing fuel consumption. But the 918 Spyder hypercar marked a shift in philosophy: Porsche now says hybridization means making kick-ass cars kick more ass, treating the fuel-economy and emissions benefits of electrification as subordinate to boosting performance.
 
Motor Trend—Be honest. You can spend a week with one of two cars: the Ford Focus RS or the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R. Or for Europhiles, it’s a decision between a Porsche 911 and a 718 Boxster S. MotorAuthority—With the release of the 911 Carrera GTS this April, Porsche will also offer a factory approved aftermarket tire for customers who want more grip at the racetrack. The tire, a Pirelli P-Zero Corsa N0, will be offered through TireRack.com or through dealers, and fit all current 911 Carrera, GTS, Targa, and Turbo models fitted with the available 20-inch wheels. These tires will also work on 991.1 911 wheels, which would be the 2012-2016 models.
 
Autoweek—Flush with hybrid hypercar knowledge thanks to the 918 Spyder, Porsche is looking for ways to spread its electrification efforts. The first beneficiary, introduced at the 2017 Paris motor show, is the 2018 Panamera 4 E-Hybrid.

The Drive—Porsche's new GTLM and GTE class contender, the 2017 911 RSR, first surfaced back at the Los Angeles Auto Show last fall. Since then, we barely saw the car at all until the pre-season "Roar Before the 24" test a couple of weeks ago.

Automobile—I’ll never forget the first time I laid eyes on a Porsche 911 Turbo. I was 17 years old, and friends were driving me along a leafy country two-lane road in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to the tennis club where I worked that summer as a groundskeeper.
