There will be interviews with Porsche drivers, updates from Porsche Motorsports North America, paddock tours and more. Don’t miss your

From nearly the moment the two sports cars were introduced—both in 1964—enterprising car enthusiasts have been turning the Mustang and 911 into road racers and rally cars. | | Esquire—Officially the Porsche Taycan (pronounced tie-khan just so you know) doesn’t hit the roads until early next year. The tens of thousands of people who’ve ordered one haven’t even signed the delivery papers yet. Which means calling it out as car of the year is probably a little on the premature side.

Autoblog—The 2019 Porsche Panamera GTS is new to the Panamera lineup this year, and it creates a stepping stone in between the regular V6-powered Panameras and the uber-powerful Panamera Turbo. Under the hood lies a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 453 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. That’s good enough for a 3.9-second trip from 0-60 mph and a 181 mph top speed, according to
Porsche. Since it’s the GTS, it also comes with the sport exhaust as standard equipment. The transmission is an eight-speed PDK unit that sends power to all four wheels. Porsche’s adaptive air suspension is standard equipment in the GTS, and it also sits 10 mm lower than a regular Panamera. Larger front brakes, the Sport Chrono package and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) all come as standard equipment to the GTS, as well.

Petrolicious—Though I refuse to use the word – which is now as overused today as ‘literally’, ‘like’, and ‘fake news’, and equally as tedious – there’s little doubt that the 917 is the most ico… epochal Porsche sports cars of them all. This is the prototype after all that cemented the German marque the first two of its 19 Le Mans wins thus far, a race distance record unbroken for 39 years, a
World Sports Car Championship, and, once modified, 37 Can-Am wins from ’71 to ’75. On motor racing’s Mount Rushmore, the 917 is up there with the McLaren MP4/4, the Lancia Stratos, and the Ford GT40.

Motorsport Week—It's often rumoured that Volkswagen, or one of its many brands including Lamborghini, Porsche or Audi, is mulling an F1 entry, however it has never become a reality. Though rumours of an engine programme were true according to Enzinger, but VW's decision to focus on electric motorsport spelled the end of that dream.

| | Motor1—JBR Capital, a direct lender specializing in premium vehicle finance has revealed the main trends in prestige car financing this year in the United Kingdom.
The average value of a car from all the vehicles financed by JBR Capital this year has been £96,000 (about $124,400), with Porsche being the top financed manufacturer, ahead of Ferrari which accounted for 34 percent of all pay-outs on supercars valued at over £250,000 ($324,000).

These hot cars from the 1980s all had a big 2019; in many cases, their upside in the overall collector market dramatically reversed from January to December, as measured by the the Hagerty Vehicle Rating. Car Reports—For anyone who appreciates electric cars and their potential to transcend existing boundaries, the Porsche Taycan—originally called the Mission E concept—was a rock star from the start.
In concept form in 2015, its propositions included 600 horsepower, 0-62 mph acceleration in 3.5 seconds, torque vectoring all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering, a Nürburgring lap in less than 8 minutes, and a recharge to 80 percent in as little as 15 minutes—all in a vehicle that looked very alluring to those who already had both a Tesla Model S and a Porsche 911 in the garage.

Motorweek via YouTube—Yes, there's nothing new about seeing the 992-generation Porsche 911, but this one wears the optional Aerokit, which isn't yet available for delivery on the new model, according to our spies. The equipment doesn't arrive until the first half of 2020 The most noticeable addition from this package is the large, fixed rear wing on the back.
