Sale-a-Bration nearly over - only ten days to go.
Can you believe that Sale-A-Bration is almost at an end? Time sure flies when you are reaping the rewards from the best time of the year to be a Stampin' Up! customer.  Or perhaps you have missed out so far.....
Sadly, time is running out as Sale-a-Bration finishes at the end of March.  Noooooooo!   But you still have time to get your order in before it is all over.  Remember for every $90 you spend, you receive a free product from the Sale-a-Bration mini catalogues and it is packed with fabulous stamps, Designer Series Papers and designer ribbon, all exclusive to Sale-a-Bration.
The amazing paper Inside the Lines (#143830 FREE during Sale-a-Bration), pictured above, (can be used as is or can be coloured using our new Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pens, Aqua Painters or Stampin' Write Markers) has been a favourite.  I love the card with the little fairy from the Fairy Celebration Stamp Set (#141554).

Top Tip of the month - which adhesive should I use?
Stampin' Up! has eight different adhesives, all have a different purpose so it can get a little confusing.

Ever wondered which adhesive to use for which project? Here is the answer.

FAST FUSE: Super-strength acid free adhesive that bonds instantly.  Perfect for heavier layers but it can be a little tricky to use.  Great for paper crafting, especially box and bag making. Refill available.

SNAIL ADHESIVE (104332): Snail is a double sided acid free adhesive.  I use it for both cardmaking and scrapbooking.  It is a little forgiving as you can lift it off once adhered (which you cannot do with Fast Fuse).  If you do lift off once adhered, you will need to reapply the adhesive.  I tap tap tap the snail around the edges of the project rather than running completely around the edges.  This makes it easier to lift off if you make a mistake and saves you some money as well.  Refill available.

FINE TIP GLUE PEN (#138309): super strong adhesive which is perfect for adhering small embellishments, glitter and intricate paper cutouts to projects. You can also use it to add shine to any die cuts but you do need to allow plenty of time to dry (at least overnight).  It is important with this adhesive that you replace the cap immediately after use or otherwise the tip will clog with adhesive which has set.

MULTIPURPOSE LIQUID GLUE (#110755):  a general purpose adhesive, recommended for glitter, sequins, paper, card stock and embellishments. It dries quickly and dries clear. Easily removed with the Adhesive Remover (#103684).

MINI GLUE DOTS (#103683): Glue dots (300) are great for adhering buttons, pearls, ribbon and small embellishments. It is also the best adhesive for the glimmer side of Glimmer Paper.  It is best practice to add the item to the dot whilst on the strip and then to your paper instead of taking the glue dot off and adhering it the the item then to paper.

TEAR AND TAPE (#138995): strong adhesive suitable for box- making, home decor and 3-D projects.  Bonds instantly and is easily torn (does not need to be cut).

STAMPIN' DIMENSIONALS (#104430): Double sides adhesive foam dots (300 pieces) which add depth and dimension. Great to pop-up layers.

FOAM ADHESIVE STRIPS (#141825):  Two sheets of long thin foam strips (9.1m) are suitable for crating shaker cards or for popping-up sentiments or embelishments. These strips provide higher dimension than Stampin' Dimensionals.

Do you follow me on Facebook?
But I am on your mailing list, so isn't all the information the same, you might ask.  Well no.  I update my Facebook Page up to three times a day.  It is full of fabulous information that is craft related. Occasionally there is an overlap with my blog, but most of my Facebook posts are unique interesting titbits from behind the scenes, including class photos, information from other craft sites, tips and tricks for crafting, photography and Stampin' Up! Home Office news.  It is basically an 'around the globe' wrap-up. I also post projects, including a full tutorial, exclusive to Facebook.

I am now posting short Facebook Live videos that feature a technique or trick that you won't want to miss.

So head on over to my Facebook Page (you don't have to be a member) and have a look around.  If you do have a Facebook presence, follow me so that you don't miss out on anything.

The Wrap-Up from 'Crafty Paper Bees Charity Card Workshop', which proudly supported the Leukaemia Foundation
What a fabulous day it was.  It looks like we have raised over $1100 for Shave for the Cure. Thanks to everyone who supported this amazing event  - woohoo!  We showcased two fabulous kits this time - Oh Happy Day and Watercolor Wishes.  The ladies loved these kits as they were easy to put together whilst the cards created were gorgeous. Lots of people will be receiving handmade 'happy mail' this year.

All the Crafty Paper Bees' demonstrators coloured our hair hot pink cause we were too chicken to shave as part of the World's Greatest Shave.  There were lots of prizes for everyone.

Slip over to my Facebook Page (scroll down to the 13 March entry and you don't have to be a member of Facebook) to see what went on including a live video, who won all the prizes and all the other news from the day.

Both kits are still available for order and can be found here Oh Happy Day and Watercolor Wishes.
