While the components of a resume remain the same whether your degree is old or new, additional language must be included and the order of how each section appears should be slightly different.

When thinking about reinventing and changing your career, there is no perfect approach for everyone. There are many routes to take, and more than one might work for you. A great first step of the process is to craft some "experiments" and try out different possibilities to see how they feel to you. By implementing these low-cost, low-risk projects, you'll be able to get greater clarity without necessarily quitting your job.
You will also have a better idea if the new career is really right for you, and you also may have abetter network as a result.
Rather than leaving your current job and jumping into a new field without knowing if it will be a good fit for you, some "hands-on" experience should give you the answers to the questions above and insight into whether or not the new career is, or could be, a good fit for you. As the old saying goes, "Look before you leap."
