G. S. Nair’s November 2017 Prayer Letter

Greetings in our Lords precious name.

We’ve recently had trouble with government interference preventing the preaching of the gospel but we thank God for his help.

Evangelism
Outreach Meetings
Over the past two months we have had several gospel outreach meetings and many have received the Lord. Over 480 were baptized in our churches across India. Follow-up ministries are being conducted in various states.

Urgent. Thoughtful Consideration of the need in the following matter…
As this year draws to a close we are looking forward to March graduations and the Summer Ministries. It is through summer ministries that thousands of souls get saved every year and new churches are started.
But there is a problem.
We still have a loan of approximately $62,000 that we took out to cover the cost of last year’s Summer Ministry. This is a heavy burden. Please do pray. Thoughtful actions are needed from God’s people to resolve this debt.
Educational Ministries
Our academic year ends in March. There will be 120 graduates from the Bible Colleges and 150 laymen from our Extension Schools entering into the Church planting ministries.

Punjab Bible College: I am looking forward to putting a foundation in for the building and building a few rooms for the boy’s dormitory.

This is an urgent case. We need to start building soon; if not, we will not be ready to accept new students next year.
Class at Punjab Bible College

Mumbai Extension School
Last year we turned down 50 male students. It was a sad situation.

The government in this state is favorable. And when these favorable situations come up, we need to take action while we have the opportunity. We need your thoughtful giving toward this need.

The New extension Schools in, West Bengal (Calcutta) Maharashtra ( Mumbai) & Nagpur, Jharkhand (Ranchi) Assam (GolaGhat), Karnataka (Shimoga) are going well with their training program. They are reaching out in new areas for church planting along with the other Extension School’s in different states with a total of 770 laymen.

The Children’s Home Ministries

The Tsunami Children’s Home. We have operating funds only up to the third week of December.

The Home for Abused girls is going well but payments for the last five months are due. We need to pay this for the uninterrupted running of this home.

The Punjab Girls Home is under construction.

The Khandamal Children’s Home: One room is finished; another room and the toilets are under construction.

Andhra Pradesh Children’s Home run by Pastor Timothy and his wife. We were able to secure a piece land and look forward to building facilities for the Children. They are presently in a very congested facility.

Four church buildings have been dedicated to the service of the Lord within the last three months. The ministries are progressing and souls are adding to these churches.

We thank you for your thoughtful prayer and support for the ministries in the past. I know some of you given sacrificially and we acknowledge that with gratitude.

The Lord’s ministry here has been growing in a marvelous way. We’ve reached a great many lost souls across India and neighboring countries and your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Special note on my wife’s health
Finally, Sarah has under gone the surgery. She’s had a hysterectomy where they also removed a cancerous tumor. But by God’s grace they got it in time so that there is no radiation or chemotherapy necessary because the cancer has not spread anywhere.

She is recovering still in the hospital and will be able to go home by the end of this week. She needs around 12 weeks of complete rest. Pray with us that she may recover soon.
This is the only time she has been hospitalized in 39 years of married life. Thank you for your valuable prayers and help in this time of need.

Bro. Jack McElroy is writing an additional health letter to you all.

Brothers keep on placing this vast ministry in your thought full prayers and help.
