Hi

Welcome to Day 4 of the Shape the Rest of Your Life interview series!

Yesterday’s
interviews yesterday with Amie and Shelly really resonated with many of you and it was lovely to receive your emails thanking us for discussing the subject of body-image, self-love and self-healing.

In today’s interviews we’re flying the British flag as I’m joined by Dr. Michael Mosley and Chloe Brotheridge

Dr. Michael  Mosely is a science presenter, journalist and executive producer for the BBC, which he joined after qualifying to be a doctor at the Royal Free Hospital in London. He has presented numerous documentaries including Eat, Fast, Live Longer for BBC Horizon, which went viral in 2012. Shortly afterwards, he co-wrote The Fast Diet with award-winning journalist Mimi Spencer alerting the world to the phenomenon of intermittent fasting, or 5:2 as it is also known. The book has topped best seller charts ever since, been translated into over 30 languages and encouraged hundreds of thousands of people to reclaim control of their eating habits, and lead healthier, happier lives. His latest book The 8-Week Blood Sugar Diet presents a regime on how to prevent and reverse Type 2 diabetes.

Dr. Michael Mosley shares:
  • What The Fast Diet (a.k.a Intermittent Fasting) is and how it works.
  • What happens in the body when we spend 2 days a week on a reduced calorie fast.
  • How the fast diet changed Michael’s life.
  • What ‘Fast exercise’ is, and why HITT is far more effective than punishing fitness regimes.
  • His new book ‘The 8 Week Blood Sugar Diet’ backed by the latest scientific research that shows Type 2 diabetes is reversible, how you can do so through diet – find out which foods to remove from your diet and which to base your meals around.
  •  LOTS of science backed statistics and evidence for all of the above!

To win a signed copy Michael’s new book ‘The 8 Week Blood Sugar Diet’, answer the following question and post today over on the Shape Your Life Facebook Group:

Which food group has been the major driver of obesity? Also list 5 common foods in that group…

We will select a correct answer at random after the summit has ended on May 15th.

Chloe and I discuss:
  • How hypnotherapy works at the subconscious level.
  • The most common subconscious beliefs and thought patterns connected to food and weight issues.
  • How food cravings (when not truly hungry) are often about people trying to fill a emotional void by soothing themselves with food.
  • How we can overcome sugar cravings and the feeling that we need to finish a meal with something sweet.
  • How you can give yourself more energy or fulfillment without going for something sweet to eat.
  •  How to identify with your ‘younger-self’ to help release your negative beliefs or patterns.
