It's A Cliché...But It's True (Weekly Notions...)
(Weekly Notions...)
By: C. Steven Weirich

After last weeks ‘Weekly Notions…’ I received this email.

Dear Steven,

I was wondering why a gardener from MI was chosen to speak to us here in Arlington Heights. I didn't make the connection. Now I know. Thank you for sharing this beautiful story.

I am a fan of your Arlington-Prospect Advice Givers work. Keep it up! People like you make AH a better, more interesting place to live.

Best,
Teresa

Teresa,

I want to start by saying thank you for supporting the show. Our growth has been tremendous over these last six months. The podcast is quickly approaching 7,000 downloads since its inception.  You can find the Podcast on Itunes, Stitcher, Google Play and I Heart Radio. Download and start listening today.

I believe we all want and need ADVICE from experts. We do not seek ADVICE on a topic we are interested in from someone who is not, do we?

There are so many great business owners and thought leaders in our community. They just haven’t had a platform to get their story told, until now. I believe the story behind the individual is what attracts and creates affinity. After the attraction, it becomes easier for you, the listener, to trust. When we take ADVICE from an expert we need to trust in order to believe.

Arlington-Prospect Advice Givers is just that, a platform. A platform to build trust, to believe, and to depend on. These are the core beliefs we live by at the Advice Givers about page.

In my business, as a real estate agent, the show allows me to learn many valuable lessons from my guests. I try to take a little bit from each expert and apply it to my own business. That’s what you do when you have an expert in your presence. You observe, take notes and most importantly you LISTEN. The one common theme I have taken away from my guests is their obsession with customer service. It sounds cliché but it’s true. Having a great product or service is a necessity, but customer service always comes first!

I recently received a client testimonial from Don Oehlert.

“Steve was *not at all pushy*, and was always there with the answer to any question we had. His value-based approach is outstanding, in my opinion. It goes far beyond any other pricing method you'll come across in your real estate dealings.

He knows our area extremely well, so he was able to represent and present us well in the market.

We will definitely call Steve whenever we buy or sell any property in the future. I usually am not quite so excited about sales folks, but Steve is a refreshing change to the typical real estate sales guy.

Call him - you will be glad you did!”

Thanks Don, your belief in the approach is what helped us achieve our results.

When I started co-writing and collaborating on my book ‘The Value Driven Approach to Sell Real Estate’ it took more than two years of experience/research of data collecting. Some was good. Some was bad. Applying what worked made sense to document in a book. What's most important to me, is my clients getting the best results. I would be cheating them, and you, if I didn’t work tirelessly trying to find a way to better serve. With my research, I tapped into a way to add VALUE to a home by applying my APPROACH. If you or someone you know is thinking of selling their home, get started by going here www.requestfreediagnosticexam.com

The kicker that brings this all together… the book helps people. We have raised money for many different charities of my client’s choices. I always ask that any recipient of the book make a small $5 donation to a charity of their choice. My last count, we have about $1,200 in donations to various charities in the past year. For a copy of the book go here. All I ask is you donate $5 to a charity of your choice on the honor system.

I leave you this week with a notion…if you want to get better at something, listen to an expert in their field. Seek the expert out. Even if it’s in a field you’re not interested in, listen anyway, because you can take away a lot from their knowledge. I have and I applied it. It has helped my business tremendously. It may help you too.

P.S. This past Sunday our great residents showed up in droves to support the Arlington Heights Historical Society for this year’s Arlington Heights House Walk. I and the rest of the board of directors at the Historical Society want to thank all the sponsors, volunteers and patrons for their support at this year’s event. We couldn’t have done it without you. See you next year…

We have seen the traditional real estate approach disappoint
many of our clients. This is why we've taken to studying
the World's greatest investor, Warren Buffett, and his investment philosophy,
to develop a unique approach to selling our clients homes.
We've discovered, by treating your home as an investment,
like a business with a "stock"-price - through a
Value-driven Approach - there is a unique way to extract up to
$30,000 or more of additional profit from any home
on the market.
