| Bloomberg-funded gun-control groups from New York City have established a beachhead in Marion, Illinois, by promoting "Community Safety". You may have heard some of the names of the following groups: Moms Demand Action, Everytown for Gun Safety, Be Smart. Have you ever heard speakers from these groups? They use terms like "Gun Safety", "Gun Violence Prevention", "Responsible Storage". The use of words like these make sense on the surface: Who wouldn't be for violence prevention or safety? If confronted or interviewed, the leaders and local appointees will say that they are not again the Second Amendment, they just support "common-sense" safety measures. IS this starting to smell funny yet? They even have members that have FOID cards and say that they are firearms owners. One way they infiltrate your community is by having a "Town Hall" style meeting with a local law enforcement agency as a "partner". Remember that rank-and-file police are generally pro-2A people, but police department leadership positions are often political. In 2A-friendly areas, the law enforcement agencies are sold on the safety aspect of the event. Here's the rub: These three organizations are all a part of Michael Bloomberg's gun control initiative. The objective in the end is the disarming of the law-abiding people of the United States of America by whatever means they can. This means legislation, litigation and the safety theatrics mentioned earlier. If you look at the groups that were lobbying for Illinois Gun Dealer Licensing that is putting your local gun store out of business, you will Moms Demand Action and Everytown. If you look at the groups pushing for the ban of your semi-automatic firearms, wanting your fingerprints, wanting to turn the FOID card into a punitive a tax on ownership, you will find them there, and they're not hiding in the shadows. And now, now they've come to Marion. To run "The First Annual Community Safety Fair" at the Marion Cultural & Civic Center, 800 Tower Square Plaza, this Saturday from 9am until 3pm. To this end, they have recruited local law enforcement and healthcare organizations to aid in presenting their falsehoods, painting themselves as a "safety organization" without anti-gun viewpoints. A local firearms training group was initially conned into participating as well. Second Amendment advocates in the area have made most of the participants aware of the anti-gun nature of the groups putting on this show, and thus most of them have pulled out. Gun-grabber Bloomberg's lady on the ground in Marion is Jane Meyer Otte, [email protected] . We'd like to show you her facebook page, because it looked like a trophy case for every gun control law to pass recently, anywhere in the country. But since news of her deceiving local business & law enforcement about her gun control stance has become public, her on-line persona has gone dark. At this time, it is assumed that the anti-gunners are still going to try to put on a presentation. Be aware, and please do not attend and expect an unbiased safety presentation. Do not attend and feed the beast that wants to take your firearms. If you would attend in order to capture video and take pictures of the anti-gunners, or to protest, that's another matter! As you have seen recently, the right video can go viral. |
