Courage To Change

Dear

The planet is awakening to a new vibrational level. We have all heard that spoken, but what does it mean exactly? What I see in meditation is an image of a clay Mother Goddess with animals surrounding her and light is beginning to glow in her belly. As this light becomes stronger we need to shift our focus to nature and plant our feet in the earth as the energies around us shift. Mother Earth loves us, so if we stay tuned in we might feel waves of heat running through our bodies and we have the choice to go along with it. In life we discover that if we resist inevitable changes then we can feel broken by them, but if we stay with our internal guidance often we find that we are on a learning curve. We incarnate not to be comfortable but in order to evolve. There is wisdom right now in tending the Earth during her transition.

The most painful times in my life arose during two divorces. I felt as though I had failed. Yet looking back at my two husbands, who I am on good terms with now, I can see that we had simply outgrown each other. I was upset because divorce did not fit the image of what I wanted, but in those moments my desires had little to do with the larger evolutionary process that was happening. I could not blame them, and it was fruitless to blame myself, all I could do what learn what I could and simply keep living. I have now been very happily married to John Patrick Sullivan for almost a decade. If I had not learned from my previous husbands, I would not honor my current relationship as deeply as I do. Let's face it, there is truly an art to relationships. Some people navigate it better than others. I have a strong personality, so I learned through trial and error. Still, I learned and survived. We all can learn how to live with one another. In fact, humanity depends on our evolution. We need to learn to take responsibility for our feelings, and then relate through understanding and love. It is easier said than done, but our lives become filled with miracles when we choose love.

One way I have dealt with my continual renewal of who I am as a woman is to research and write about the women who came before me. I'm not interested in the stories of rape, martyrdom and failure. Those are all too common. I know that there is a light that shines inside of me that is eternal. This light cannot be harmed by any act of violence. So I have gone on a quest to discover women who have stayed in alignment with their true self even when faced with challenges that seem insurmountable. My focus has been on Celtic women, because they enjoyed equal rights with men for thousands of years. They served as queens beside ferocious warriors, but they also knew how to weave healing songs around all living things. It seems to me that rediscovering what heals and supports life is what we need to turn our focus on now. If you defile the feminine the land becomes a wasteland, and if we look around us what we find is a huge ecological disaster. The good news is that if we choose to change in live in alignment with the new earth we can.

My next book, Legends of the Grail, is currently with the amazing graphic designer Lucinda Kinch and will be ready as an eBook later this autumn. The print book should be available early in 2016. We are beginning to take pre-orders. Belle duCray has brought the stories and meditations to life with illustrations that evoke Goddesses, heroines and Ladies of the Lake from long ago that knew how to shift and change in order to complete their light filled missions. Many of these women were demonized, but when we look carefully at them we see they are healers. In the book 13 women tell their stories in their own voice and free themselves from centuries of misunderstanding. While reading the pages you may also wish to free yourself from stories that no longer serve you. See Belle duCray's Lady of the Lake below. Elaine had to wait in a pool of boiling water for five years until she was called to the next level of her mission, which was to be the mother of the Grail Champion Galahad. Myths remind us of the qualities heroes and heroines need to complete their quest.

Humanity will make the next evolutionary leap. In order to make the shift yourself take time to tune in, to feel the changing pulse of nature, and allow your own rhythm to shift with her. You might feel flashes of heat or coolness running through your spine and nervous system. That's normal. You might be more aware of colors, dreams and visions. If you feel the urge to move, follow it. The veil between this world and other dimensions may seem less dense, and that is true. All you have to do is stay attuned with your inner guidance and follow that pulse wherever it leads you one footstep at a time.

Be well and may the living Earth shower you with her blessings,
            Ayn
