The Brazilian Arts Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to providing cultural education and building community through the preservation and sharing of Brazilian culture.
Its time to celebrate at the Houston Brazilian Festival 2014!
This Saturday, September 6th
2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Cost: Online Pre-sale tickets $8 Children under 10 years old enter free. Pre-sale ends at 11:45 pm September 5th.

Tickets at the door: $10, Children under 10 years old enter free
Enjoy a day filled with Brazilian live music, Brazilian cuisine, Capoeira Performances, Dance classes, and many activities for kids!

Entertainment and Guest Artists

Our Houston Brazilian Festival 2014 brings you exciting bands that will take you through different genres of Brazilian Music! 

For the Houston Brazilian Festival 2014, we are very happy to be supporting great local Brazilian artists from Houston such as Batalá HoustonChoro Ao PontoJanete Silva from Silva Dance Company,  LadoBê  and Samba Soul.  We hope their live music performances and contagious energy will be perfect for you to enjoy the afternoon and to get you dancing!

Kids Activities
The Houston Brazilian Festival 2014 will have lots of activities for kids! It is one of our goals to always provide our community with events that involve the whole family.

Fun for the whole family! All kids under age 10 can enter the festival free of charge!

There will be a dedicated area for kids that includes:

  • Face Painting
  • Balloon art
  • Creating and crafting with recycled materials
  • Brazilian instruments to play with (Pandeiro, Berimbau, Atabaque and Agogo)

Authentic Brazilian Cuisine

The Houston Brazilian festival 2014 brings delicious Brazilian food for every taste! From authentic Brazilian dishes, gourmet hot dogs and typical Brazilian sweets, you will be sure to have a great taste of some of Brazil's vibrant cuisine.

During 2014, we are very excited to bring you local Brazilian chefs who have made Houston their home and continue to share Brazilian food with our great community!
Food options include Cater Brazil by Alex SantanaComme Il Faut events by Katia Lessa,  Picanha Masters and  Brigadeiro Brasil by Verena Gasparin Arus.

Arts & Crafts

For the Houston Brazilian Festival 2014, we are very happy to be supporting great local artists who are inspired by Brazilian culture in many forms.  We hope their talent, craft and inspiration will be the perfect keepsake or gift to take a token of Brazilian culture with you!

Artists include André AmaralJorge Leite Lopes and the seniors of the Wesley community center, Houston.

Art Class with Tony Paraná
Every Third Saturday of the Month
Saturday - June 21st, 2014

Price: $45 a person. Includes all class materials, wine and snacks. Currently enrolled BAF students are elegible for a 10% discount at checkout.

Get your inner creative artist going with us at our new painting class!

This piece by Tony Paraná is called "Caminhada" (A Stroll). It is inspired on the landscapes of  Northeast Brazil and their people. Families take long walks back home after a long day farming land in plantations and fields in beautiful sunsets.

Bring your friends around and learn how to paint this art piece directly from Brazilian and local artist Tony Parana step by step. We will be providing everything you need, so we just want you to show up, relax and have a great time! learn more>>
