Minas Gerais region) Join us for a delicious earthy meal typical from the region of Minas Gerais. This meal is very special to our featured chef Cristina Corey as she grew up savoring it in her family's farm. She remembers how delicious it was coming out of the iron casted pots hot from their wood stove.

Rickman are pround to present "Lights of Houston", an interactive light painting art exhibit.In preparation for the event, Matt, Che and several members of the Brazilian Arts Foundation have been collaborating to produce an arts exhibit in the streets of our great city of Houston. The show involves movements that come
from different Afro-Brazilian dances as well as the Brazilian martial art of capoeira. Read more>>

Let's grow our library together!Brazilian Arts Foundation Library Book Drive
Did you know the BAF has been building a library for the last couple of years? Our goal is to grow it and to have more resources for our community to use, consult ,learn more about Brazilian culture and practice your Portuguese skills! If you have any books in good condition or DVDs about Brazil, it's culture, history or people you wish to donate, we would love to have them as part of the library. (Books can be sent or brought to the BAF at 1133/35 E. 11th Street, Houston, Texas 77009 BAF members and registered students can access the library for free. Non-members can rent books for a small fee. Please call the BAF at 713. 862.3300 if you are not a member and wish to use the library. If you wish to help us grow the
library in a different way, you can always donate or volunteer your time. We really appreciate it! |
