The Brazilian Arts Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to providing cultural education and building community through the preservation and sharing of Brazilian culture.
Experience the Brazilian Skate Demo, with the Brazilian Arts Foundation. Enjoy free live performances by Crailer Skate Pros Lincoln Ueda and Leticia Bufoni. Family fun at the Houston Skate Parks!

Brazilian Arts Foundation in collaboration with Crail Trucks is very excited to present the 2015 Skate Brazil Demo. An exciting event Sponsored by the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance.

Brazilian skate pros such as Lincoln Ueda and Leticia Bufoni will be joining the spectacular skate scene of our beloved Houston.  Demos will include different skate parks in the city.

March 20th | SouthSide Skatepark

March 21st | Spring Texas Skatepark

March 22nd | Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark
From 2pm to 6pm | 103 Sabine Street, Houston, TX 77024

Other attractions include live music by Batalá Houston, Capoeira Luanda Houston and live spray painting by Alexandra Kontrimas (Coraçao) the talented local artist who created the art for this exciting event!​

Capoeira classes for adults in the Sugar Land/Fort Bend Area
Tuesdays 7:00 - 8:00 pm

We are very excited to have a new location for capoeira classes in the Houston area. Our own Graduado Bombril, a 2nd level graduated student of Professor Gringo who has been training capoeira for 12 years. 

Currently, Damon is a certified professional fitness trainer. He teaches capoeira at Rice University as an LPAP (Lifetime Physical Activity Program) instructor and is an assistant leader at the KIPP Sharpstown College Prep after-school capoeira program.

We have been enjoying the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program classes immensely! They are available  for Adults and Kids. Having Professor Jonatas Eliaquim, a 3 Degree Black Belt under Carlos Gracie Barra Jr. He has been the head instructor of two academies in France has been a great experience, and we are learning so much from him! Book Drive

Did you know the BAF has been building a library for the last couple of years? Our goal is to grow it and to have more resources for our community to use, consult
,learn more about Brazilian culture and practice your Portuguese skills! 

If you have any books in good condition or DVDs about Brazil, it's culture, history or people you wish to donate, we would love to have them as part of the library. (Books can be sent  or brought to the BAF at 1133/35 E. 11th Street, Houston, Texas 77009  

BAF members and registered students can access the library for free. Non-members can rent books for a small fee. Please call the BAF at 713. 862.3300 if you are not a member and wish to use the library.   

If you wish to help us grow the library in a different way, you can always donate or volunteer your time. We really appreciate it!
