Hi ,
If you decided to design YOUR life to be good enough...what would it be like? One of the issues I've been pondering about for the last few weeks (since the demise of Social Traffic) is what is "success" and "failure" anyway? And what would our lives look like if we just dropped the idea of what "success" looked like or its corollary "failure" and just asked ourselves that really boring qudestion: What do I want? Sometimes that's to create a masterpiece. Other times it might be a piece of chocolate. Let me give you some ideas around this idea of just dropping the idea of success/failure. Suppose you just said "I quit"...here are some things that might happen.
- Instead of beating yourself up about being the wrong shape/size, you started to focus on how you could make what you have look really good. Spend the money on a gorgeous jacket instead of a new diet.
- Instead of focussing on what you don't have money wise, you start looking at how you are spending what you do have and you find yourself no longer spending money on stuff you don't enjoy.
- Instead of wishing you could meet your Prince/Princess/local amphibian - you start building a better relationship with yourself and having a blast with the people you do know.
- Instead of looking for the big deal that's going to make you a millionaire - you actually start focussing on your current customers and asking how you can serve THEM better.
Let me just challenge you around this...what would happen if you started to make peace with your family/body/money/relationship and said that they are good enough. Do you think change is more likely to happen from a place of peace and acceptance or from a "I wish you were....anything but what you are". Try it and see...
Looking forward to hearing you comments etc.
