Some powerful questions.. What I am relishing this month
Hi ,

I hope you are well...feeling recharged and rejuvenated ready for 2010. For some reason I really feel as though 2010 is going to be a really great year...
When I reviewed my 2009, I was really surprised to find the number of things I had done that really worked out well. Of course as usual there were quite a few things that had not been planned but had worked out as powerful experiences...

What was I proudest of in 2009? (in no particular order!)
  • Being part of the leadership team in Social Traffic (even though it all ended in a rather "unsuccessful" sort of way). I learned a lot through the experience and am grateful for the journey
  • Building stronger connections with family & friends: went on holidays with cousins, "got over" some family stuff.
  • Greater awareness of my own "stories" and how they get in the way of true acceptance and love
  • Began some wonderful collaborations with others that I'm intending to expand and enjoy this year..
  • Starting the Ignatian exercises (a spiritual programme which I will be completing in 2010) as a way to deepen my own spiritual life.
  • Giving up sugar for 3 months - yes, I went back - but it was a big thing for me to do it!
  • Being a good loyal friend to some people who were struggling.
  • For starting to make some long held dreams a reality: going to Rome, starting to learn French and planning to make them part of everything I do this year
  • Learning GTD (Getting things done) (and here is a link to some really powerful questions to help YOU review 2009
  • Realising that I feel in a place of abundance/expansion a lot of the time.

Regrets - I have a few

  • That Social Traffic didn't work out - it was a great product with great people but it just didn't happen.
  • Still struggling with my relationship with food...
  • Why didn't I do some of this stuff sooner!

Take Action

Set aside some time this week to really reflect on and acknowledge your achievements in 2009. You could use your diary to remind yourself of what happened. Focus as much on internal shifts as external ones. Write them down and really sit and acknowledge yourself for this. It's important that YOU acknowledge these achievments...because only YOU know what it took to make the changes.

Would love to hear what you are most proud of achieving in 2009?

Take care
Anne
  • Fr. Ted DVD set. Got this as a present and enjoy every episode. If you are not familiar with it..look for Fr. Ted on YouTube for some excerpts..."As I said before Ted, I'll never do it again".

  • The beauty of frost and snow..it's unusual for us in Ireland!

  • Des Bishop's Desfunctional DVD (an Irish American comedian who truly "gets" the Irish psyche - he reckons the Irish version of Barack Obama's "Yes, we can" would be "maybe" LOL

  • Watching the birds on our feeder outside the window...beautiful
  • Having a drama and argument free Christmas (one of the first!)
