   November Preparations!

 

Ireland may not do Bonfire Night but here at Big Smoke we know how to make sparks fly!

This November at the factory we have a very special line up, including the brand new Drama Workshop run by our very own Nicole Rourke beginning on the 21st. We also have a Beginning to Write Poetry class kicking off on the 10th, and a half day Introduction to Creative Writing on the 12th for those starting off writing for the first time!

If a weekly course isn't your thing, we have a range of one-day workshops to choose from: a one-day introduction to Writing For The Screen for those who are interested in screenwriting but aren't sure where to start (booking closes today, however!), Feature Journalism: An Introduction perfect for the budding journalists out there, and Write 4 Your Life for anyone looking to use writing to de-stress and have fun! 
 
 Big Smoke is also delighted to report that we will be hosting our second Literary Cafe of the year in early December (date to be confirmed).
In the upcoming weeks we will be contacting any students who have expressed interest in reading, but if anyone else would like to try their hand at it please drop us an email at bigsmokewritingfactory@gmail.com.
 
 
As if there wasn't excitement enough at the factory this month, all of us here at Big Smoke are ecstatic to announce our first ever Big Smoke Writing Fest! This marathon of words is set to take place on November 26th from 10am until 4pm, in the writer-friendly surroundings of 11 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2. We provide the venue, you guys provide the words! Big Smoke will set you up with a quiet room for all your writing needs, along with a separate "comedown room" where you can stock up on tea while chatting to and sharing ideas with other writers! Whatever you're working on, be it NaNoWriMo or a project you're itching to start from scratch, feel free to bring it to the Fest and write like you've never written before!!
 
We look forward to seeing you all over the coming weeks for one or all of our writerly events! Keep those pens scratching!

Here at Big Smoke we are very excited to announce the opening of our new premises at 11 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2, this month. Some of our upcoming classes will be held there so watch this space for more details!
