here's what I mean: one of the simplest way's of telling when someone's trying to sell you a bunch of "balloney" is when they concentrate on telling you what it is not, rather than what it is.

you know the kind of thing I mean, we've all seen it - "This is not PPC, This is not SEO, blah blah blah", right?

Now that's not the only easy to spot "danger sign" that should always set off your "crapometer", the other really obvious one is those massive "You can make $97gazillion in the next 24 minutes" outrageous claims, usually backed up with a screenshot of their earning as "proof", and these almost always seem to be clickbank screenshots used as the proof...

Both of these are real simple ways of knowing that it's probably a good decision to steer clear of the offer in question.

So can the opposite be a good indication of when it is worth checking something out..?
