[Wed Tip] Newbies Need a List Too Sent Wednesday, February 3, 2010 View as html
Hi ,

I'm just back from the Niche Affiliate Marketing System workshop in
Atlanta.

As you can imagine, we learned and discussed many different
Internet and affiliate marketing topics but one of the most
discussed was creating a relationship with your blog readers.

In fact, many people wish they had started communicating with their
readers sooner. So why didn't they? Have you? If not, why not?

Too complicated? Too hard? Too expensive?

No it isn't any of those things. You can do this!

You first need to separate the tasks of setting up the method of
communicating from getting people on your list. If you fret over
"how will I get people to sign up to my list", you will never get
started.

Take it one step at a time.

First, you don't want to gather email addresses yourself to send
out messages from your Gmail or other personal email account. You
need a service that keeps you from running afoul of the spam laws.
Also, you don't want to manually send out all your messages. A
service will automate many tasks.

There are many services to choose from. It costs very little or
none to get started. Here are just three to look at.

1. Mailchimp --The first 500 subscribers and 3,000 emails per month
is free. http://www.mailchimp.com

2. Aweber -- The first month is $1. This is one of the most
popular services. http://mybonusblog.com/Aweber

3. Get Response -- The first 10 subscribers are free.

I have used all three and prefer Aweber because of the many tools
it offers to help with all the technical setup steps, but check
them all out to find the one that suits you best.

Your homework assignment for the next week is to pick a service and
register with them. They all have excellent tutorials for you to
watch or read. Do that this week.

I'll be back next Wednesday with the next step.

Chris Cobb
