[Wed Tip] Finding a Profitable Niche Sent Wednesday, March 10, 2010 View as html
One of the most challenging tasks for new bloggers and affiliate
marketers is to find a profitable niche or area of interest.

A good niche has these characteristics:

   1. Is a topic you know fairly well and that you can be
passionate about. You can probably write a few articles about any
subject, but to sustain an active blog and affiliate marketing
campaign, it is very helpful to already know the subject and enjoy
writing about it.

   2. Is a topic that many people are interested in. You may enjoy
studying rare frogs in a South American rainforest, but if you are
one of a few, you will have a hard time getting traffic to your
blog.

   3. Is a topic that lends itself to affiliate products that are
in demand. You may enjoy a niche that others also enjoy, but if
there are no products that enthusiasts are willing to buy, you will
find it difficult to sell unrelated products.

An Internet marketing friend of mine, Susanne Myers, loves to
research niches. I don't know about you, but I'm glad someone
enjoys doing that. As the result of her research, she has created
"Niche Packs" with all the information she gathers. If a niche
meets her criteria for being a viable, profitable niche, she
bundles all her research findings into a pack that anyone can
utilize to start a profitable blog.

Look what she includes in every pack:

    * Document thoroughly describing the niche and the target market
    * List of affiliate products you can promote on your website
    * Over 100 domain name ideas
    * Over 1,000 keywords and phrases to use as primary keywords
for blog posts, etc.
    * 100 Article and Blog Post ideas centered around the keywords
-- You won't run out of article/blog post ideas for quite a while
    * 15 Resource Box templates to be used when submitting articles
to article directories
    * 2 different marketing strategies and the step-by-step
procedures for implementing them.

If you are stumped on how or where to begin, I recommend you look
at Susanne's Niche Packs.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the in-depth
information included in every Niche Pack.
