I'm working on several exciting new programs, including a book tour and an eBook publishing webinar.
I've got 12 awesome hosts lined up to participate in the virtual
book tour for

The schedule includes four audio interviews, as well as how-to articles,
reviews, and book giveaways. Watch for your next newsletter on

Shelley Hitz has teamed up with me to
present a no-cost webinar on October 6: "eBook Publishing Basics for

to be a great program and I'll be sending more details soon.
To your book marketing success!

Add Social Follow and Social Sharing Features to Your Blog or Website
In a recent
blog post I gave detailed instructions for placing social follow buttons on your website or blog, making it easy for your site's visitors to follow you on a social network or subscribe to your blog.
In today's tutorial, exclusively for newsletter subscribers, I'll show you
6 Ways to Add Social Sharing Features to Your Website, making it quick and easy for visitors to recommend your site to their friends and followers on social networks.
The Power of Facebook Fan Pages
My friend MaAnna Stephenson shared with me a terrific book promotion page on Facebook. The landing page for
Before I Go to Sleep lets you read an excerpt from the book. Other tabs on the page let you listen to an excerpt from the audiobook version and watch the book video trailer.
Learn more about promoting your book through Facebook with my
Facebook Guide for Authors. And be sure to check out MaAnna's
BlogAid.net site for a wealth of blogging and online marketing advice.
Savvy Tip - Promote by the Calendar
Look for ways to tie your book's message, theme, characters or target market to major holidays or specially designated weeks or months. For example, plan publicity and special promotions for your parenting book near Mother's Day. If your novel features a rescued dog, promote around Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month in October.
For inspiration, read
Use the Calendar to Promote Yourself and Your Book by Robin Hoffman. and search online for weeks and months related to your book.
Learn How to be a Media Star
On August 30, author and top media coach Susan Harrow will be doing a guest post on the Savvy Book Marketer blog, sharing some common mistakes that authors make during media appearances and how to avoid them. To learn more about becoming a media star, attend her no-cost media coaching webinar on September 7:
