CORVETTES AT CARLISLE
Hurricane
Irene certainly was not an ideal way to end the event.
We know some of you were affected by this and we hope
that you and your family made it through safely. With
unsavory weather at all of our events thus far in
2011, we're pretty sure Mother Nature owes us big
time next year.
As always, we value your opinion. Please take a few
moments to complete
our event survey. What you say goes a long way
to deciding what and how we run our event each year.
Thank you again for being part of the premier Corvette
event in the world!
Speaking of the weather, A&A has announced that
due to Irene, they're keeping their show prices active
for just a little while longer. If you didn't get
the chance to take your Vette to the next level, get
your Corvette Exhaust Systems right now. Contact A&A
Auto Stores at aageorgek@epix.net
for 2011 Corvette show pricing on your Corvette exhaust.
ROAD
TO CARLISLE BLUE Showcase included nearly every color of blue ever
produced by Corvette
Earlier this year General Motors dubbed Carlisle
Blue Metallic as a color option for all 2012 Corvettes.
That distinction was on full display throughout the
weekend as part of the "Road
to Carlisle Blue." The road was an historic
timeline showcasing nearly every color of blue ever
produced by Corvette. Whether you were the owner of
a car in the display, or simply stopped by to admire
it, we thank you for being part of it. In addition
to "Road to Carlisle Blue," Market Cross
Pub in Carlisle brewed a special batch of beer and
dubbed it Carlisle Blue Brew. Over the course of the
weekend, three of their 18 kegs were kicked. $.30
of each pint sold goes to the Chip Miller Charitable
Foundation. Drink up!
CHIP'S
CHOICE 2011 - BARN FINDS 2012 to feature big blocks
Aside from the Corvettes on the Fun Field and
multiple seminars, the Chip's Choice - Barn Finds
display was quite popular. You made this display one
of the most talked about of all time and we appreciate
your doing so. We had Barn Finds that were recently
found, complete with dust, dirt and droppings. We
also had Barn Finds that had been restored. All looked
great and complimented each other nicely as part of
the display. FYI: Next year's display will feature
the "Best of the Big Blocks." This will
do doubt be another crowd pleaser. If you want to
be part of the Chip's
Choice Big Block display, click
here to fill out the signup sheet for consideration.
SHOPPING,
INSTALLATIONS, MIDWAY AND MORE Finding that perfect part or accessory was easy
at Carlisle
From Gate 1 to Gate 7 and points in between the Carlisle
PA Fairgrounds was filled with thousands of spaces
comprising the swap meet, car corral and manufacturers
midway. Buying parts and accessories for your prized
Corvette was as easy as 1-2-3 throughout the weekend.
Many had installations done on site while even more
were able to deal directly with the seller. The consumer/vendor
interaction proved to be yet another perk to being
part of THE premier Corvette event of its type worldwide.
