Planning vs Doing: Taking Action for Fast Results!

Published: Wed, 12/02/15

29 days left in the year... Today's tip is about making it count!

"Planning vs Doing"

It's very common to over-think or over-plan a business idea, a project or even just a task. Ideas & Plans don't pay the bills though, and they don't bring RESULTS. Breaking out of that and getting into ACTION is what will really put things in motion - and set you apart!

Try this:

Schedule a specific day of of the week, and a certain amount of time set aside on that day, for your planning and organizing. Example: Friday mornings from 9am to 11am.

Set a timer and only do your planning during that designated Time Block. That way you know you have that time scheduled in every week to analyze and plan out your strategy, but otherwise you're busy putting that plan in motion.

You can do the same for organization (another common form of procrastination). Devote Tuesday afternoons to organizing your office or work space, for example. Give yourself one hour, get it done, then get back to business-building tasks!

^ That was a HUGE distinction for me that is making a BIG difference! ;-)

I'm doing a lot more Strategic Planning in my own business, and working toward a more structured and organized Action Plan for 2016. I mentioned that in this blog post: http://www.clicknewz.com/12555/strategic-planning/ along with the planner & action notepads I'm using - which I love!!

Do what works for you, as long as it WORKS for you.

The key is IMPLEMENTATION - to implement what you download, buy, learn, etc.

p.s. The "Inner Guide Planner" I'm using started earlier in 2015. Here is the brand new 2016 version. It's only $25.95 on Amazon with free shipping. It's the BEST planner I've ever owned! It really digs in to the meaning behind your goals, and sets you up for a productive and fulfilling year. Enjoy! *cheers*
