Live Example: Great Blog Post To Model

Published: Thu, 06/09/16

I just published a new post on my niche blog, and thought you'd enjoy the live example of the post - and also how I promoted it to get traffic & conversions.

First, here's the blog post:

The title of the post will appeal to my audience, as they are always looking for cheaper options and discounts. I titled it specifically to increase the click-through rate, and also the open rate via email.

That's Tip #1: set up a Blog Broadcast in Aweber so that your new blog posts go out immediately to all of your subscribers. ;-)

You'll notice that the post is well monetized with two different affiliate programs that go hand-in-hand, and that I use "conversational affiliate disclosure" (instead of boring tech talk).

I wrote the post in a fun conversational tone too, writing TO my readers instead of AT them. This makes it less about "marketing" and more about "serving your audience" in a way they appreciate!

Speaking of, here's another tip for you...

I take a screenshot of the mobile version of my blog post and share that on Instagram, which is an image-only and mobile-only platform. You can see this blog post on Instagram here:

(Note: Hashtags are the KEY to Instagram!)

The very first comment on that post reads:

"Your posts are so helpful! I'll be doing a lot of traveling the next couple months and you make it seem so easy!"

THAT is when you know you're serving your audience and doing something GOOD in your niche. It's much more fun and much less boring than "internet marketing" or just blasting ads or whatever. ;-)

On my Facebook Page I always make it a point to add some text. I don't just blast a link, and I don't use any social media automation. I add some context to make the post more interesting and more appealing:

I hope you enjoy the live blog post example, and pick up some ideas you can use in your own niche. Always consider ways you can better serve your market, and share things with them they'll LOVE!

Best,
Lynn Terry
