Templates make life SO much easier! (See mine…)

I was told "templates are for amateurs". Do you agree? It actually made me smile after I pondered that Facebook reply for a moment. I *am* an amateur at certain things! Like graphics, to name just one.

There are other things I do VERY well. I love to write for example, but you may not. We all have our strengths and our favorite (and least favorite) tasks. But even as someone who *loves* to blog, I have a template for my blog posts and product reviews that I've been using for YEARS.

I'll share those with you - I think you'll find them really useful too...

Templates are wonderful and make life so much easier.

"Yet, I still wrestle with myself from time to time to just use them. I think it stems from my father, who spent 30+ years in the advertising industry, who used to refer to templates as "used only by amateurs. Not "real" designers."

My response?

That explains it then, because I am NOT a "real designer"! (lol) I can't pick colors or hang curtains to save my life.  :p

I love the versatility with these cover graphic templates though. They aren't just "stock templates" but rather "examples" with tons of options for fonts, colors, and basically editing it to something totally unique.

It really helps me to have a "design starting point" to work with, and end up with something that looks like a professional high quality graphic that cost a pretty penny! (Especially when it was ridiculously cheap.)

===========================

This has to be the BEST, and definitely the cheapest resource I've found for creating professional cover designs for your products! You can see an example cover graphic I created super-quick.

If you're creating reports, ebooks or Kindle books - you need CoversCrush!

===========================

I was just working on finishing up my ebook cover graphic over coffee this morning, and it reminded me of the Infographics Templates and the Marketing Graphics templates that I downloaded at home recently.

I'm in Marco Island working from my laptop at the moment, so I just went and downloaded those packages again too. See:

I'm in creative mode today. :-) Of course, I'm not very creative... so having professional templates to work with REALLY helps, lol.

The CoversCrush package comes with a link to download a free copy of Adobe Photoshop CS2 (which you can Google and download from there as well) - so it's super easy to edit and work with these graphics, and you don't even need to buy expensive software to do it.

Maybe you're a graphics whiz and don't need templates and professional layouts to work with, but you don't enjoy writing content. In which case, I hope the two links I shared with you above come in really handy!

But if you DO struggle with professional graphics for your products, social media, sales pages and/or blog posts, definitely check out these two resources:

Those are my blog posts about them so you can see what you'll get, and my examples, to help you decide if it's something you need for your own business. I've been VERY happy with both of these template packages. ;-)

If that makes me an amateur... I don't mind at all.

I say "be good at what you're good at" and don't stress about the rest.

I do LOVE having the option to create my own graphics and product covers though, because outsourcing them all can get expensive if you want a high quality look - and need even just a few graphics created.

I'm off to work on an infographic and finish up my ebook cover. The weather here in Marco Island is absolutely perfect at the moment! I hope you're having a productive week, and something in this note proves helpful for YOU too...

Have a great day!

Best,
Lynn Terry
