Hi ,
I am not talking about exercise or nutrition today, but just about simple acts of taking a little time out for yourself and enjoying life.
I recommend taking at least 30 minutes a week to do something special just for yourself.
Some things I like to do are:

Go for a walk, making sure to pay attention to the world around me.
Take a bath.
Enjoy a facial mask or paraffin bath for my hands.
Sit down to read.
Do nothing and just focus on my breathing.
Have breakfast in bed.
Read a magazine.
Go to a movie.
Go window shopping.
I am sure there are lots of things you can add to the above list that you enjoy. Things that make you feel alive, renewed, and allow yourself to be a priority.
So, go ahead, sit down and make your personal list right now. Then choose one item and schedule it in your calendar for this week!
I know you'll thank me for it,
Biggi

Hi ,
If you didn't get the report I recommended in my last e-mail, you
probably haven't seen the message that Josh sent out below.
Is your belly fat talking to you too? I so loved the style of
his e-mail that I wanted to share it with you. Just wish I could
write like that!
Enjoy and talk again soon,
Biggi

Dear Belly Fat,
I'm done.
I just can't take this anymore.
It's not working and we both know it. No, don't
say it is. You know it's not.
We can't go more than a few days without arguing. And
whenever we're NOT fighting it's really just because
I'm sort of going along with whatever you want.

You've been around so long that I just let you
run things. You determine the way I eat, how I feel...
even how I shop.
Just the other day in the mall, those jeans made my butt
look amazing--the girl at the store even said so! I could
see how jealous you were, belly fat!
But it didn't matter, because YOU were there, and my
muffin top made me look ridiculous. I couldn't buy the
jeans, just like I can't eat carbs--you're always telling
me what I CAN'T do.
I work my butt off to get into great shape, and no matter
what I do, there you are. Always right there on top of me.
You're smothering me, can't you see that?
That's BULL and You Know It! <------- Don't take anymore of belly fat's crap
You always feed me the same BS lines and I keep falling
for it. The same thing happens, ALL the time. We break
up, we're back together, you're gone, you
come back.
Well, I'm tired of you coming back.
I hate to break it to you, but I just kept you around
because I thought I couldn't get anyone else.
No longer!
I've met someone else. Someone sexy as can be who
loves me for me and wants to help me reach my potential,
instead of always holding me back.
I'm talking about the 7 Day Belly Blast Diet. Yeah, that's
right.
The 7 Day Belly Blast Diet is going to HELP me get rid of you.
===>Click HERE to Unfriend Belly Fat
You see, I'm not afraid of you and cortisol anymore.
It's REALLY over this time. I'm taking you out of my phone.
I've already unfriended you on Facebook, AND untagged all the
pictures of us.
Please take back all the things you got me: the emotional
baggage, the self-esteem issues, the fatigue from years
of struggling.
I'm going off with the 7 Day Belly Blast Diet. And together,
we're going to unlock my potential, and ride in to the sunset.
And we're going to be happy.
You, on the other hand, will lead a lonely life and make
everyone you latch onto miserable. Trust me on that one.
Don't call or write. Don't even respond to this email.

The subject line is just one of the chapters in this great report (funny too) that I just read - How to Drop up to 11 Pounds of Belly Fat, Excess Water, and "Toxic Waste" Over the Next 7 Days.
http://ecoachbiggi.com/recommends/bellyblast
It was written by nutritionist Josh Bezoni. Josh was a former nutritionist for Bill Phillips (formerly of EAS, Muscle Media Magazine, Body-for-LIFE, and now Transformation) and he REALLY knows his stuff when it comes to foods that help you get a flat stomach fast.
One of the reasons I really like the report is that I am using all the methods Josh describes on an ongoing basis, and not just for short-term results. That's why I really want to share the report with you.
You can get it at no cost right here:
http://ecoachbiggi.com/recommends/bellyblast
Once you've read it, let me know what you think, and which method you are planning on implementing immediately.
Take care,

I just discovered this funny iPhone app. The description alone cracked me up:

We feel like we know you. You'd rather spend your time moving and
shaking where it counts in life, not at some expensive members-only gym
where people just stand around drinking coffee trying to look hot all
day. Your tastes are similar to ours. You don't like to waste time. You
enjoy the good life. You're not some obsessed muscle-bound
jerk, but you enjoy showing people who's boss from time to time.
We designed this application for you.
With
the FatBurner2K application, you can turn your iPhone into the gym that
works on your terms, and works places where those snooty gyms might not
be able to fit. FatBurner2K can help your body consume fat molecules
using disharmonic, molecule to molecule, physical oscillations, which is
a sciency way of saying that FatBurner2K shakes the fat in your body
until it gives up.
FatBurner2K is super flexible, allowing a workout at anytime, anywhere. Use it ...
* ... while finding a parking spot
* ... when waiting to order dinner
* ... at the doctor's office
* ... while you nap
* ... when watching professional sports, such as NASCAR, wrestling, bass fishing, figure skating
* ... while you talk on your land line
* ... while getting a haircut
* ... while smoking a filtered cigarette
* ... while enjoying the good life
* ... to put the fear of God into your fat molecules
FatBurner2K is the only application for the iPhone specifically
designed to vibrate fat molecules. In fact, the application is so
focused
on shaking your fat molecules that it's the only think it does. Why
would you need a bloated application with loads of useless features when
all you want to do is do it right?
FatBurner2K. We designed it for you.

The images aren't bad either, you can have a look at the app page:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/fatburner2k/id322120286?mt=8#

Have a wonderful weekend and shake or vibrate off the fat,
Biggi

PS: I am not suggesting you purchase this app, even though it might make a great gift for someone with a sense of humor. Or you could use it to nicely hint that your partner should lay off the beer. ;-)

Eat Often, Get Skinny

, did you know?
Most people don't eat often enough to get as lean and trim as they would like. Let's think of your metabolism as a burning fire. Ok, what is your metabolism? The term: resting metabolic rate (RMR) is the number of calories your body burns at rest to carry out typical body functions like breathing and pumping blood. RMR makes up most of your metabolism - the total number of calories you burn in a day. Back to your fire, or metabolism; women that feed their bodies with 300 calories every three hours will be naturally boosting their metabolism and may improve their memory and cognitive skills later in the day.
On the other hand, skipping meals can leave you feeling drained, unable to concentrate and want to forfeit your evening workout. Long stretches between eating signal the body to slow the metabolism and store fat - it's the survival mechanism left over from our heritage as hunter-gatherers. When we skip meals earlier in the day we may want to overeat at night. When night time falls you'll be more likely to choose foods that are high in fat, sugar and calories; leading to feelings of guilt.
Snacks
It is best to eat around five times a day-that's three meals and two snacks. Always plan ahead if you have a busy schedule. Store some snacks that you know are healthy in your workbag. Some suggestions include:

Almonds
Walnuts
Apples
Bananas
Dried fruit
Energy bars
Protein bars
Meal replacement or protein shake
These are all good choices that are high in carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins and minerals. Get yourself a cooler and enjoy cottage cheese or yogurt as your mini meal.
Now it's time for you to:

Eat often
Plan ahead
Carry snacks and water with you
Enjoy a fast metabolism
See you on the skinny side,
Biggi

I am almost embarrassed to admit it, but I am sick. Yup, Biggi, the picture of good health has gotten sick in the middle of the summer. I guess this can happen when your immune system is down because of the stressful event of moving and then you open the door to a 7 year old little girl raising money for a cheer-leading competition at Disneyland. Sigh.
Anyway, if you have ever been sick without the luxury of taken time off from work, you know what I am talking about next.
All I have been doing for the last couple of days is sleeping, drinking water, taking lots of Vitamin C, and working. Nothing else.
But it has been hard for my body to even sit upright for a long time. So this is where taking a break comes in. For every two hours I work, I take 1 hour off. During that hour I mostly lie down, watch a little TV, and eat a little something. Then I am able to work another 2 hours.
The thing is, now that I am sick, I am practically getting stronger feedback from my body then I normally would. But when you really think about it, isn't your body asking for some rest after a few hours of work too? I bet it is, and I bet your typical answer is to re-energize with either some caffeine or sugar.
Yet what I am saying is that a little rest can replenish your energy as well, without any harmful side effects.
Not only that, but during the hours you work, you will be more productive. I learned that recently in a productivity course, where they also recommended to work 2 hours and then take 30 minutes of active rest. Meaning that you do something that is fun and totally unrelated to your work - like reading a book, going for a walk, etc.
The relaxation period is, of course, a great time to take a few minutes and focus on your breath as well. Nothing re-energizes as well as some good old oxygen running through your blood!
Please make a plan to incorporate some breaks into your hectic schedule. Remember, you do have the time, because you will get more done during work periods.
Take care and have a fabulous weekend,

There's a really good reason you haven't heard from me in a while. It's the same reason for today's subject line.
I just moved to another state, and moving, as you probably know, is one of the most stressful events in one's life.
Now that I am semi-settled, I can't wait to continue our conversation and help you live a healthy and happy life too.
Is Stress Making You Fat?
Stress can cause elevation of the hormone cortisol, which greatly contributes to excess abdominal fat.
There are two types of abdominal fat, the outer, unsightly layer, and the much more dangerous underlying layer that wraps around and suffocates your organs.
This underlying layer is called visceral fat and has been linked to an increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, and other diseases.
So, if you have been trying to lose weight without much success, your stress level could be the reason.
The good news is that if your weight loss regime includes exercise already, you are doing one of the best things you can do to fight stress.
As I always say, remember to breathe. And I mean it literally. If you just pay attention to your breath a couple of times throughout the day, while inhaling deeply into your lower belly, your level of stress will instantly be lowered.
Here's another quick fix to relieve some stress: http://ecoachbiggi.com/5/spirit/laughter-is-the-best-medicine/
Remember, take care of yourself. You deserve it, and your loved ones deserve you at your best.
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help or if you have any questions I can answer.
Take care,
Biggi
