SUCCESS TIPS: Solutions for Your Career, Your Business and Your Life!

I must admit that I am having a hard time believing that we are already in the third week of the month and that Christmas is not far away. I'm not quite ready and this week is a busy one with a lot of work activities to focus on; if you're like me,  you might be also dealing with trying to get a lot done these next couple of weeks.

This is the time to not lose focus and to 'stay the course,' as they say, so you can get all those tasks done while still feeling motivated and optimistic that you will survive stress-free (or close it it). Here are 3 quick tips to remember:
  • Prioritize your activities, either by what might take the longest to complete, is the most difficult to achieve, or it could be the easiest - however you choose. Once you have your 'to do' list written and prioritized, it will give you clarity to get it done; be sure to add an end-date to give you that 'push' and so that there are 'no excuses' for not getting them done. Personally, I like to categorize my list, which makes it easier to see what I', dealing with.
  • Focus on your 'why' - only work on activities that will take you closer to your end-result, whether that is getting your Christmas shopping done, getting your holiday cards and packages sent out, baking cookies, cleaning the house and decorating, or other holiday tasks that are in addition to your work or business. I find when I know why I am working towards those it is easier and more effortless to get them done. I feel accomplished and look forward to sharing time with family and friends.
  • Have fun - as anti-productive as this may sound, taking time to have fun and enjoy all the busyness that this time can bring will raise your positive chemicals, which lowers your stress and helps you get through any challenging times. This allows your focus to improve and leave you feeling refreshed. For me, this includes dancing and going to Universal.
"Focus on what you need to make your life better. Do no let wants and desires distract you from what really matters."  (Leon Brown)

Your Weekly Action Plan

This week, starting today, resolve to stay the course; make that list of what you need to get done in the next couple of week, give them a rating by their importance, set a date to get them done, and be sure to add fun time in there. Just be sure not to have too much fun - get down to business and soon you'll have lots of time to sit back and relax.

I hope you have a successful week - If you need help gaining clarity on your business or career goals, or in developing your action plan, why not get some help - stop the struggle and call today to get started. I'd love to help you build the career and business of your dreams!

I am very excited to announce that the book I am a co-author in has been released.  It is called, Contagious Optimism, and it is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or on the site www.lifecarrots.com.  It was a thrill for me to finally see the book in print, as it has been 3 years since I submitted my first article (I have 3 in the book); I went to Delray Beach for the book signing and met fellow coauthors and sign books.  Wow - what an experience! If you want to feel inspired and uplifted, then I encourage you to check out the book.
