Last week I made an announcement that very few people expected.
A MAJOR
change in my career.
Bottom line...
While I was out in Scottsdale doing some contracting
helping a company with their affiliate program I had
a lunch that would change my life forever.
I gave the person that I was eating with a concept
that flipped their business model upside down
and
before I knew what was happening he rushed me
back to the office and basically PROPOSED TO ME!
He asked me to come on board a new venture and
become their CMO!
(For you non corporate types that stands for Chief Marketing Officer)
Now this is something I had never even imagined in my whole
career.
I started as a housewife...sold vitamins and diet pills...
Was in the right place at the right time at the beginning of
social media and landed on the biggest stage in the industry!
And now I was being asked to become a corporate executive.
And truth...my first reaction was to say HELL NO!
I like my freedom and do not want to be locked in an office!
But we worked out a way for me to be able
to do this job
and also maintain the life style I am used to ...
It was doing something I am madly passionate about and
in a moment the universe tilted and I knew I wanted to do this...
So here I am...Housewife to CMO!
And I work with a brand new company called IQup.
