Prayer To Myself

Published: Sat, 04/18/15

After years in this profession I have seen so much.

And based upon all that I have watched go on
I wrote this PRAYER TO MYSELF....

I thought you might enjoy reading it.

I am also going to post this in Facebook
via the form of a NOTE.

If you believe in what I say here let me know and
I will tag you on the note so you can share it with the
people in YOUR world.

Prayer To Myself...

Let me never forget that each and every day I am
working with and dealing with REAL living and
breathing human beings who have their hopes
and dreams tied up in the work we are doing.

Let me remember to treat them as such and
NEVER as disposable.

Let me remember that with each word that
leaves my lips I am not just affecting the people
who hear them but potentially GENERATIONS
of humans...whole families whose lives can be
changed or hurt by thee way I treat them.

Let my human greed NOT get the best of me ....

Let me never take money from someone who is
clearly not in a position to spend it just to make
a cut, a goal or to win a prize or just to feed my sense of self.

Never let me wave my income as a symbol of WHO I AM.

Let my ego not get carried away.

Let me never think I am more than I am and let
me never forget that I can be replaced in a blink.

Let me never get a sense of entitlement expecting
people to jump at my very word.

And never let me speak to people with disrespect.

Never let me forget what capitalism is and
that the MARKETPLACE decides...not me.

Let me SERVE all those that dream and yet
understand that I am not a savior in any way,
shape or form.

Give me strength to release those that I
can not serve so that I may locate those that I can.

Let me be a good news merchant and a voice
for FREEDOM and a walking talking poster child
to show people that it IS possible.

Let me be guided by my best self and give me
power to deny my worst self what it craves.

Bless my words and give them an energy
that carries them to millions of people.

And most of all.

When my time comes...

Let me know that I have earned a right living so that
I can rest with the undestanding that my words and
my message lives on.

This is my prayer to myself.

And on this day I share my prayer with you.

In love,

Diane
