Even The COO Of Facebook Thinks So... (Replays Inside)

I've been saying it for years.

Its a mistake to try to build a personal brand before you have results.

I have dozens of training saying this but of course I was 

alone in my theory all this time as guru after guru told 
folks to brand themselves and now a days people sling 
that concept around like it was carved in a stone tablet
back in ancient times.

Bottom line...

There are several reasons why a personal brand 

can be a big mistake for many marketers.

Let me run through a few....

1) When you try to build a personal brand before you have any

results you are building on a base of sand....

People can tell when what you say is true or when what you 

say is conjecture. And when they smell this you can actually be hurting
the brand that you could have built if you had waited.

2) Building a personal brand demands a sparkling personality

and an "always performing" lifestyle that most people are just 
not comfortable with.

3) Building a personal brand means you have built something

that is completely dependent upon YOU.

If for any reason you can not run the brand ...the brand is DONE.

You have no asset to sell...

No way to raise cash.

4) When you want to diversify your revenue streams under your

personal brand you can receive great scrutiny as people question 
why you are selling something else.

5) Large corporations have spokes people but would never base a 

brand on an individual...so why would you?

Now I know I am contradicting a lot of what is being taught in the 

marketplace today ...

And I am getting some heat from saying this stuff...

But LOOK AROUND!

There are legions of people trying to brand themselves and be the 

issue speaking to audiences of NONE on the Facebook lives that
they have been told are the solution.

Blogs with no readers...

Facebook pages with no likes...

Videos with no viewers...

And pockets with no money!

A sea of talking heads on a road to nowhere.

It just makes no sense!

So when we were talking about what product to come out 

of the gate with at IQup where I am the Chief Marketing Officer
the logical choice was to come out of the gate by helping people
create BRANDS...

Real Brands...

Brands that are based on what people want to buy.

Brands that are calibrated to generate leads and appointments.

Brands that one can build and SELL.

Brands that can be multiplied many times over.

The marketplace is changing.

When the masses are mumbling something the 

pros are moving on...

"Brand You" is now lingo tossed around by the 

very folks who should not be looking to brand themselves at all...

YET.

Now...Am I saying you should never have a YOURNAME.com.

NO...I have one.

Am I saying you should not do blog posts, videos and lives?

No...I do them all the time.

What I am saying is that NO BRAND should be based on a person.

It should be based on SOLUTIONS.

And when your name becomes synonymous with a SOLUTION that
your base is looking for....

GO FOR IT.

But until then you can actually be doing yourself a diservice

by tying your name to your learning curve...

Teaching people that you don't know what you are doing yet 

is a place that is very hard to climb out of,

And yet that is exactly what many advisors are telling you to do.

But not me.

Never me.

I have always said to become a promoter...

Get Results...

Then and only then become a personality...

Get Results...

And in time...

You become a professional.

That's the path,

Can't find one big earner that didn't follow it,

NO ONE was a brand from day one.

NO ONE.

So why would you try to be?

Be a Voice, Not a Brand

The idea of developing your personal brand is a bad one, according to Sandberg. “People aren’t brands,” she says. “That’s what products need. They need to be packaged cleanly, neatly, concretely. People aren’t like that.”

“Who am I?” asks Sandberg. “I am the COO of Facebook, a company I deeply believe in. I’m an author. I’m a mom. I’m a widow. At some level, I’m still deeply heartbroken. I am a friend and I am a sister. I am a lot of very messy, complicated things. I don’t have a brand, but I have a voice.”

Focus on developing your voice, she says. Figuring out what’s important to you and being willing to use your voice for that purpose is incredibly valuable. “If you are doing it to develop your personal brand, it’s empty and self-serving and not about what you’re talking about,” she says. “If you’re doing it because there is something you want to see changed in the world, that’s where it will have value and depth and integrity.”



Isn't that what we all truly want....to develop a VOICE???

And when you have SOMETHING TO SAY...


Put it on YOURNAME.com and you are off to the races.

But that is not how you make money.

That is how you build TRUST.

Then that TRUST pushes people to the BRANDS you 

promote...

Me...I'd like to think I have some trust with you....

You wouldn't be reading this if I didn't.

And there's a good chance you will look at these recordings

because of that trust.

In the marketplace there are only two things that make people look...

DESIRE and TRUST.

Until you build trust...the only way you get to make money is through DESIRE.

And anyone who tells you different is doing you a disservice.

Learn this NOW and change your income.
