".....I will be there, but it's costing me over $1000 in lost revenue..."

I once read a quote that I didn't believe at first. It was:
"Photography is like a unicycle. You stop peddling, and you fall off."
I didn't buy it at the time because I was young and naive. Idealistic. I thought,
'no way!' once you get good at it you never forget it. It's for life.
How simple and narrow-minded I was.
Now I know different. I know because I've been around
long enough to experience first hand the trials, struggles, the ups
and downs of running a successful photography studio.
I know I can never, ever take success for granted. I know
if I stop peddling, I will fall. And fall hard.
I know and believe in my heart that school is never out for the
pro photographer. Or the aspiring pro. Any any photog who yearns to grow,
has a burning desire to expand their horizons and really take their photography up a notch.
It's what made me, and continues to to this day. I firmly believe in continuing
education. A steady, rich flow of knowledge and experience from others
who have been there, who have braved new paths and either won, or lost,
and are eager to share with others, either as a speaker, or an attendee during lunch,
coffee, or any "seminar after the seminar."
Randy Sartin posted in No Bs Photo Success that he was
attending the Inferno in Nashville. He said, I quote:
".....I will be there, but it's costing me over $1000 in lost revenue..."
Randy knows the value of education. He has his priorities.
Click on the image above and hear me rant for 5 minutes on who's
coming.
Seriously. I hope to see you there.
3 Days of intense heat.
Yours in photography,
