Hi
Yesterday, I drove back from the hospital after
performing the FORTY-SIXTH heart operation that
is funded through my non-profit organization,
the Dr.Mani Children Heart Foundation.
For details go to
http://CHDinfo.com/chd-storiesOn the CD player, Jay Abraham was lecturing at
his 2002 Mastermind Seminar, a $25,000 PER SEAT
event... and talking about training, and how it
should be done.
He mentioned doctors as an example. And I was
reminded of my own career.
You see, today, we all seem to expect
INSTANT
success.Savvy marketers, judging shrewdly our dreamy
desire that lurks inside most of us, make rosy
promises that fly in the face of logic - coz
they KNOW they aren't appealing to your brain,
but to your HEART!
That's why you have ebooks and courses that
say they'll teach you how to build a business
over a weekend, or become a millionaire in a
month, or be the best in the world at something
with very little effort.
And to teach you that "secret", they want you
to part with some of your wealth.
Or get a bit deeper into debt.
They know you WILL - because you so desperately
want to believe in that hopeless dream!
Well, let me share a little of what a medical
career is like - and it should interest you,
because just about anything meaningful in life
follows a similar path.
Today, I can operate on a child's heart.
It's a thrilling experience, even though it's
also incredibly scary and nerve-wracking.
It's a dream I've nurtured ever since I began
training to be a doctor -
TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO!
In September 1984, I entered medical school.
Though I might have loved it, no one handed me
a scalpel and pointed me towards the heart
surgery operating room in October '84.
Nor did it happen in November '84.
No, not even in December '84.
The first year and a half was spent studying
the human body - what it's made of, how it works
and what chemical processes happen inside it.
The next year and a half were spent learning
about disease causing microbes, and the damage
they wreak on the system - along with medicines
used to treat them.
The next year and a half was to get oriented
with examining REAL patients - and trying to
figure out what was wrong with them.
So did I get to carry out heart surgery in
1989 at least?
No way, Jose!In that year, I managed to prove my interest
was sustained enough to be accepted into a
residency program in surgery.
Now, I was permitted (under supervision) to
operate on less critical organs - after first
spending HUNDREDS of hours in the OR learning
from my peers and teachers.
Over the next THREE YEARS, I became adept at
operating - to the point I could now perform
surgery without supervision, even teach my
juniors the simpler procedures.
Heart surgery next?
Nope! :(
Next came POST GRADUATE residency - but at
least now I was in the heart surgery OR.
Watching operations on that most fascinating
organ of the body - from the ignoble position
of SECOND ASSISTANT!
It wasn't until 15 months later that I was
'promoted' to 'first assistant' - and another
15 months before I could do heart surgery...
UNDER SUPERVISION.
Long story short, I have now INVESTED 25 full
years into my medical training - and can now
live my dream, operating on children with
heart birth defects and helping them live
longer, healthier.
And yet, YOU (or people like you) want to live
YOUR dreams - within a weekend. Or, at most, a month.
* You read an ebook - and feel you've mastered
a subject.
* You participate on a forum discussion - and
consider yourself a specialist.
* You go to a seminar - and think you know
enough to 'wing it'.
Then, based on that mis-information, you rush
out to start doing things, and...
FALL FLAT ON YOUR FACE!
What happens next depends upon your personality.
You may get frustrated at how slow this thing
works - and give up, angry and upset.
You may get depressed at how hard it all is -
and complain, whine and feel sorry for yourself.
You may get irritated at not succeeding already
- and take bigger risks, gamble for higher stakes.
And all this does is get you deeper into the
mess you're making of your business dreams!
Rarely, common sense prevails - and you CHOOSE
to approach it rationally.
* You decide to learn and study the process in a
systematic fashion.
* You pick a mentor or guide or role model to
follow and ask for advice.
* You set a path, fix your goals, devise a plan
- and put it into action.
And then, surprise, surprise...
YOU SUCCEED
No, not tomorrow.
Not even next week.
Maybe not next year either.
But eventually, when you've gone through the
necessary steps, when you've mastered the
process, when you've proven your mettle and
determination,
SUCCESS FINDS YOU
That's a tested and proven method.
One that has worked for THOUSANDS of others.
And is GUARANTEED to work for you.
Now is the time for you to ask me a question:
"WHICH system or method is best for me?"
That's not a question I can answer for you.
Look, I wanted to be a heart surgeon. So I
went to MEDICAL school.
If you want to be an engineer, and you go to
medical school, you won't reach your goal -
even if you invest 25 years!
So you need to decide what you want, then
look for who or what can guide you towards
it, and then MAKE UP YOUR MIND to do what
it takes to follow that person or program
to attain your dream.
It's as simple - or difficult - as that.
"The SMILENAIRE Way" is one solution.
It's a step by step course that covers 3
important elements of becoming a success
at online business.
Maybe it's what is right for you at this
time.
You'll know if you learn more about it.
Go to
http://www.Smilenaire.com
Or maybe you have another program or course
or guru in mind to study and model.
That's fine and dandy.
Go ahead and follow that person or program.
But keep what I said earlier in mind.
This ain't an "INSTANT World"
And success comes with a price-tag attached.
Pay the price.
Earn your success.
Enjoy it!
All success
Dr.Mani
