EcoPlusHome is an EcoLiving Award Finalist
The EcoLiving Award of the Scotia Bank supported by Green Living Enterprises is
Canada's Premier Award for home energy innovation. The awards program will recognize businesses, innovators and students for excellence in the development of home energy efficiency products, services and solutions. EcoPlusHome is one of three innovation finalists and will participate at a gala awards ceremony on June 2nd in

The award is part of the EcoLiving program, which will help Canadian homeowners discover what green options are available to them around their home and how they can save money by reducing their energy bills and taking full advantage of the available government rebates.
"Finding ways to reduce our environmental footprint through the efficient use of energy is important to Canadians and to Scotiabank," said Anatol von Hahn, group head, Canadian Banking. First homes on the Production Floor
The EPH team visited the construction plant of Maple Leaf Homes to observe the progress of the construction of the first two EcoPlusHomes destined for
Moncton. The focus of all Maple Leaf Homes is on quality control but also on energy efficiency. The EcoPlusHomes built by Maple Leaf Homes offer maximum efficiency and air tightness. All processes of the build are done inside of the factory away from the elements to insure quality on each and every home. The building envelope provided by Maple Leaf Homes is a key component in the EcoPlusHome solution. EPH manager Scott Tidd says, "we are working very close with Maple Leaf Homes through the building process and it is nice visiting the production floor where everything always flows like clockwork."
The EcoPlusHomes are leaving the facility in the next weeks to be finished in
Moncton,
Fredericton,
Halifax and other locations in
Canada.
